Hi @john_doe Let me check with the product team and get back to you!
Hello Liz any update on this?
Hi @john_doe Yes, apologies! I just got a more concrete answer at the end of last week. The product team is currently testing a version of captcha which should be completed by the end of quarter one. Granted, that could change in case they run into an issue with the build, but be on the lookout for updates here!

Hello Liz, so by the end of March 31st 2024?
Hi @john_doe They’re aiming for that timeframe, but this date could change if any tests fail or other pieces of the product take priority due for various reasons. Again, keep an eye on the community for more info on this feature!
Hi Liz any update on this? Do you think it will be released in the next few days?
Hi @sas I’m afraid I don’t have the particular timeframe for its release, but as always, we’ll post when it’s launched here!
@Liz Any update on the Captcha feature? We are about to release an advertising campaign experiment and we will have to use FB’s internal form if Typeform hasn’t solved the spam issue with captcha.
Hi @csladden Thanks for circling back! Our developers are currently testing a version and hope to have it released by summer.
Hello
Hi @csladden Thanks for circling back! Our developers are currently testing a version and hope to have it released by summer.
Hello Liz,
Initially it was by the end of March 31st - if you saying summer - why more 3-4 months that’s a big postpone? It has been already 3 Years (22 April 2021) - it keeps postponing.
Hi @john_doe It’s possible that the development time took longer than expected and/or they need more time to test. These dates can change at any moment, so always be sure to keep an eye out on the community for updates on these features.
Hi,
After two successful years of using Typeform our form is now currently being absolutely blown up by spam bots which is putting a huge administrative cost on my team who are spending hours calling fake numbers, or the numbers of people who never actually enquired.
I really need a Catpcha / Recaptcha solution, but my issue is this:
- None of the “workarounds” in this forum seem to be viable
- My entire business is shaped around Google Ads, and those GA conversion metrics are fed by Typeform
- In order to have native Recaptcha access via Typeform AND KEEP Google Analytics data in synch, I have to upgrade to a Growth Plus Plan. This means going from $AUD 149 per month to $AUD 524 - an enormous jump, and almost a $AUD 4500 jump per year, just to install a feature that really should have been native from the get go? It is not viable for us.
Has anyone rolled out any other solutions at all?
We are work in the allied health sector and the reluctance of Typeform to include this as a native feature means that people who genuinely need help (non-emergency) are not being reached quick enough as we are being stalled by spam enquiries.
If there isn’t another solution I can see myself quickly leaving for Tally, Jotform or any number of other services now available, as I’ve seen seems to be the case by a number of other users online.
To the Typeform mods - please roll out Recaptcha as a native feature across all plans? It does not seem correct that plans are priced by enquiry amount but there is no native protection for spam enquiries.
I view this as a make or break.
Thank you
Hi. I agree it’s terrible. I need to complete my existing project but then will look to swap to another provider as the spam just clogs everything up so badly.
The only way I was able to reduce it and make it manageable….to put in a slide to choose eg the 4 red pictures, out of a choice of 8. Set the settings to the exact number needed and also random position of the pics on the slide. Also delete the visual description of the image in the details below. This would last a few days but then the spammers would start again. So in the end, every few days I changed the pictures/position and this was successful at preventing the spammers from getting out of hand.
I agree, when we pay so much, it’s such rubbish.
Hope you get sorted.
Thanks for your feedback @sas
Based on this situation, I’ll pay for the growth plan for a month as we need an urgent solution. Then I’ll be cancelling Typeform and moving to another platform.
Hi all! Apologies for my delay responding. I sent this feedback to the product and pricing team...and then didn’t reply here. Either way, I’ve shared your frustrations about the pricing, and I completely understand if you need to find a solution that betters fits your needs right now, @rich2024 @sas . We’re still working on updating our plans and their features so be sure to keep an eye out on the community!
