Setting up Typeform Using Google Tag Manager

So i discovered that the native way to setup Typeform with GTM is to use the integration.

However, I do not want to use the Integration.

Basically, I want to setup Typeform directly in Google Tag Manager.

I have checked by there seems to be no way to do this.

Have anyone use GTM instead of the integration provided to setup Typeform.

Any workaround on this?

Hi @legendcrest Are you trying to embed Typeform using Google Tag manager?

Hello Liz,

No, I already have it embeded on my site.

What I am trying to do is instead of fire the tag by connecting through the native connector, I want to to do same using Google Tag Manager.

Basically, instead of using the integration as shown here, I want to be able to use Google Tag Manager.

If you check this tutorial https://www.typeform.com/help/a/add-google-tag-manager-to-a-form-360029583611/, it talks about using a custom script. Problem is, no way was it shown how to find this custom script.

That is my main challenge.

Do you know or anyone know how to find the custom script?

Hi @legendcrest  Do you mind sharing where in the article it mentions custom scripts? I read through it, but I don’t see anything in the article about it.

That’ll help me ask our help center team about this!

Here is where it mentions a custom code but it was using Facebook custom code as an example.

So my question is: do typeform have a custom code that you can use to set it up if you dont want to set it up via native integration.

If not, is connecting through the native integration, the only way to connect Typeform to Google Tag Manager.

If not, what other option exist.

Those are my questions.

Thank you.

HI @legendcrest Got it! It looks like our article is referencing the Facebook Pixel as an example. If you’re not using Facebook Pixel, you don’t need to add this code.
