Typeform for process documentation?

Hey! We have a complicated Slite channel with articles documenting our sales process and it’s not the easiest for employees to reference for quick questions like what does the account manager do at x stage or what does business dev do when y happens.

Is it possible to make a Typeform that allows someone to select the ‘stage’ they’re on in an internal process so they’re navigated to the next Typeform slide which tells them what action they need to take?

So it’s basically functioning like a Q&A rather than a quiz or survey?

Any help or examples would be awesome to look at!

Hi @Shira Oh I love this idea!! I should use this. I currently document everything in Notion, but honestly, a Typeform is probably a better idea because you know people hate searching for things on their own. 😂

@Lasse do you all do anything like this in support?

@john.desborough might have some examples, too.

thanks for the reply, Liz! it doesn’t look like Typeform has a Slite integration yet 😭 never heard of Notion, might check that out!

I’m afraid, Shira is right. We don’t have an integration with Slite at the moment, and I don’t have any insights into it either.

Furthermore, we don’t have a default behavior on jumping into a specific question of a typeform.
However, it could probably be set up using hidden fields and logic, when the forms is loaded to show the desired question/slide.

I hope this helps, and wish you good luck with the setup.

@Liz @Shira - i have used Typeform for presentations - rather than a ppt slideshow - to walk through a series ‘slides’ and links out to various example typeforms i wanted to show (did that for a Meaningful presentation for Typeform 2 years ago...)

I have also used typeform to create a bit of a ‘help file’ - ie documentation - for a small bit that i am testing right now: it’s a longer typeform and has a url in the description that points to ‘the help file’ and i pass the target question number as hidden variable into the help file and have the logic evaluate it something like this: if target_question = xxxxx then go to welcome screen, if target_question = 3 go to question 3

the user then has the option to keep this form open and scroll through the series of statement pages or to shut it down until they click the next link

Thank you both! @john.desborough is there any way you could share the ‘help file’ Typeform you’re working on with me? I actually haven’t tried Typeform yet (learned about it yesterday) so it would be cool to check that out or any other presentations you’ve made with it.

@Shira - sorry but that ‘help file’ is not ready for prime time demo and is currently targeted to be in a ‘paid for’ solution that I will be making available to my clients.

I will push a sample out once I get it finished and have time to create one.

in the meantime, here is the presentation version that I gave that shows a little bit of the thought process behind using Typeform for interactive presentations. at least the way the 7 other voices in my head thought about it two years ago..

Hi @Shira Your post inspired me now to change some of my documentation that I usually have on Notion to using Typeform.

It’ll take me some time to actually build it, but I can share the example here with you when I do!
