Mulitiply personal contact data collection forms

Hi there, I have a problem. The way Videoask is now designed, it is -from what I see- impossible to create some last questions like “I want to stay updated on the project”, “I can be emailed for extra questions”, “My voice can be used in the project” “none of the above”… I need this since I am using it for a research for a theatre project… I needed to put these sentences into answer options, but some of these answer options need to lead to the data collection form, which can only be automated for all the answer options i filled in as mentioned above. But for example for one or two answer options they do not need to be leaded to that form, because it is only linked to these but I do need to make them check a consent box (as is not possible to separate from the contact details collection form). The form further needs to be anonymously. Can someone help me out with this?

Mailing Information

I sell physical products online – and I would like to use VideoAsk for this, but find it limited in one crucial aspect. VideoAsk has a built-in Billing Information (Payments) form, however it does not have a built-in Mailing Information (Shipping) form. Having an option to collect Billing Information + Shipping Information within a “Payment” section would be an absolute game changer for e-commerce (IMO). It may substitute the need for a Shopify storefront.• Can we make this happen?• Is there a solution I’m not aware of? Thanks, Bronson

Multiple responses to videoask from same respondant

Sorry, I actually posted this in the typeform Q&A originally. I have a long videoask (about 25 questions) that I am using for a screening job interview. I realize that longer videoasks will have some issues with retention (from start to finish). But the majority of the people that are filling out my videoask are somehow creating multiple new conversations. So rather than one submission, I’m getting 3-5 in some/most cases. Here is what I am seeing:1 - One my first steps is to ask for a file upload of their resume. This nearly always comes as a separate entry. 2 - It appears that people are maybe leaving and then coming back and starting over from scratch. Why would this be happening on such a consistent basis? (I’ve checked and test the videoask and it seems to work flawlessly 3 - A separate issue, but I have a good percentage that say that they can’t get the video to work. I get that there will be some technically challenged people, but it seems to be a fairly sizeable number. Has anyo

URGENT: more minutes needed

Hey VideoAsk Team, We've been trying to upgrade our account for almost a week now because we've run out of processing minutes, but we still haven’t heard back. We’ve been submitting the form daily and even tried using the video call feature multiple times, but no one was there to pick up. This is really disrupting our business—we’re a recruitment agency, and we rely on VideoAsk to vet candidates through their video responses. We need to upgrade ASAP so we can keep things moving. Can someone help us get this sorted right away?

Remove : You can practice before sending

Hello. I have just purchased Video Ask for my language school, for my English language level test. Because it is a language level test / assessment, I cannot give the students the possibility to practice before sending the answer. Cause they could look up unknown words and prepare their answers in advance. So I won't be able to properly assess their level and offer the correct course. Is there a way to at least remove the You can practice before sending so they don't know it exists or not even give them the possibility to repeat? Thank you

Feature Request: Add Virtual Background / Blurred Background on webcam upload? ETA?

+1 request here for the ability to add virtual backgrounds or blurred backgrounds on webcam video recorded uploaded. We are considering moving away from using VideoAsk for customer support, as it does not allow our communication to stay on brand. Moreover, the lack of blurred background option, also doesn’t protect the privacy of those who are attempting to communicate. I understand that backgrounds is on the feature list. Any ETA on its release would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

VideoAsk accessibility?

Hi VideoAsk/Typeform team: We understand that Typeform is WCAG 2.1, Level AA compliant and that you also offer an accessibility checker. Given that we use VideoAsk as both a standalone platform and embed VideoAsk in our Typeforms, we would like to know whether or not VideoAsk shares the same WCAG compliance. We were recently informed that one of our VideoAsks failed to work with JAWS screen reader, so we would like to understand the inherent limitations and workarounds. Thank you!

Save/Resume Progress of VideoAsk Submission

Hi, We use VideoAsk for onboarding + ask our clients various questions regularly. They’re loving it so far. 1 major issue - sometimes our VideoAsk can have a bunch of questions and take quite some time. In case a user is unable to complete it in 1 sitting - our users need to be able to save their progress and resume. How do they do this? Is this an upcoming feature? Can they at least skip questions if they’ve already submitted once? If we capture name + email - can we let them resume progress or skip questions? I know partial submissions are visible in the VideoAsk form folder - but if someone wants to resume - can they input their name/email and resume where they left off? We’re trying to provide an excellent customer experience and if their browser freezes/shuts down or they just need more time before resuming their VideoAsk submission - being unable to save your progress and having to start again from scratch leaves a sour taste.. Is there a way to send out a big VideoAsk in smaller

Videoask logic without destination

Hi, After each video users get the choice to click on one of the presented buttons. With that option, I can lead them to (1) another step in the flow, to (2) the end screen and to (3) a URL. That works fine. My question is: I also want to lead them to no other destination. Why? Because I want to add a button with the text ‘I want to see this video again', but when visitors click on that button they get another destination. Is it possible to [Choose a destination => 'Stay on the same page']? Best, Jeroen

Whitelabel VideoAsk + Partner Program?

I absolutely love leveraging VideoAsk and the opportunities it creates for customers to showcase who they are, stand out in their industries, qualify leads, save time, and gain valuable insights into customer behavior. I’m curious—has anyone else explored whitelabeling VideoAsk? At my agency, we use VideoAsk to humanize customer acquisition. We whitelabel and resell it, script and edit videos, build funnels, embed them into social platforms and websites, and even manage them for our clients. Is there a partner program at VideoAsk? We’d love to join, champion it, and help it grow! P.S. I previously built a video dating app and am a big advocate for video storytelling. Hello. I am new to videoAsk and want to use it for a video-based survey. Currently, I can position the prompt answers in one column to the left of the video. I want them to float, so that I can position them in two columns, or above / below/ left / right of the video. Is it possible? Or is there a kind of open code that allows me to do it myself?

Playing the videos automatically without having to press 'Play'

My VideoAsk behaves differently on my PC’s Wiindows web browser (Chorme) versus my iphone Chrome browser. In both cases, the first video starts in autoplay (muted until I press the ‘Play’ button. That’s good. On my PC, all the next videos play automatically without having to press ‘Play’. That’s good. However, in the iphone, every video only starts playing after you press ‘Play’. How can I make the 2nd video (and the ones after it) play automatically, without the ‘Play’ button?

How to create and request a video testimonial from a customer?

I’m new to Video Ask. I’m interested in learning how to collect video testimonials from clients, by asking 3 questions. Can I just email a link to a client? Can the video include, say, 3 questions which will each produce a video clip that can be turned into one video automatically? I already use customer testimonials (or customer case studies) on my website – have most recently used Vocal Video but want to move to Video Ask, as I’m already using Typeform – see https://www.real-m.com/video-testimonials/ I need to be able to get video testimonials on for my marketing consultancy clients as well, preferably with my clients’ branding, or perhaps unbranded. Branding and Overlay text in API

I'm building out a process to speed up creation of forms (Videoasks). I've consulted the documentation at GetPostman but there are two things I'm having trouble with: Branding - In the Retrieve form by ID action, I can see in the response that there are nested parameters for branding, including branding_id . However, the POST action for new forms does not appear to accept branding_id as a parameter. Is there a way to specify the branding ID of a form (VideoAsk) with the API? Overlay text - In the Retrieve a question action, I am able to see a parameter called “label” which appears to correspond to the overlay text. However, the POST action to Create a question and the PATCH action to Update a question both do not appear to accept “label” as a parameter. Is it possible to specify the Overlay text via the API?

How to remove upload button from toolbar in video answer?

Hi, We are looking to use videoask at a fanzone for visitors to leave messages. We only want them to record a message via the touchscreen webcam and not be able to upload pre recorded files from the mini PC that we will be using. Can we remove the toolbar that appears to the top of the screen before record mode?

I am using the “Create a form” endpoint of the Video Ask API to dynamically create new forms. Is it possible to set the recording method to “uploaded” vs “streaming” using the api? Thanks

Need to choose custom thumbnail for video

Has anyone been able to choose a custom thumbnail for videos? There’s no option to choose one and the thumbnail is random. If there’s an option to have a custom thumbnail this would increase performance a lot and be applicable to everyone on the platform.

Custom thumbnail/share image

Hi! Is there any way we can upload a custom thumbnail/share image? It looks weird that the thumbnail is a close-up shot of my face when I share links via social media/messages. I tried adding an image at the start of the video using Capcut and uploaded that video to Videoask, but thumbnails are randomly chosen and unfortunately, the image at the start of the video isn’t one of the options.

Limit response type on replies to replies

I've recently started using VideoAsk as part of the training within my educational membership. I create a videoask with a question and my members (students) reply with their own videos. This is working great. However, I would like to limit replies-to-replies to just text. So right now: I create the videoask with a question - 👍 Member responds with a video reply - 👍 I reply to the member with feedback - 👍 Member has the option to continue sending videos back to me - 👎 I want to stop the back-and-forth video after step 3. So when a member gets a videoask reply from me, I want them to have the option to respond in text or not respond at all. Is that possible?
