"Views" definition

I recently connected Type Form with my website. In the Type Form Results dashboard does views mean the number of people who viewed my landing page or the number of people who viewed the form?

Country/city question type OR allow large set of options for dropdown (23k+)

We’d like our respondents to say in which country and which city they are based. I put the list of countries in a dropdown options (they are 196, so that works), but the number of world cities is too big for the form to function well (23k). The country would be great to have as built-in type (like phone number prefixes).

How do I end a live chat?

Apologies if this shows up twice, but it appears my submission earlier today did not work. I started a live chat with support last week. The person I was chatting with stopped responding to me, but did not end the chat. I put in a ticket, but have not received a response. Is there a way to force the live chat to stop? My issue was not resolved, but I cannot start a new chat while the old one is open.

Form Translation

I have created forms with English as the main language and another language as an option. I have tested the second language with someone in that country, but they only see the form in English. Am I missing a step in order for my recipients to be able to select an alternate language? I have also tried testing on my own browser with the same result.

Live Chat Will Not Close

I entered a live chat last week looking for assistance. The Typeform representative stopped responding to me in the middle of the chat, but did not end the chat. I have tried logging out of Typeform and completely shutting down my machine, but the chat will not end and therefore I cannot start a new Live Chat. How do I end the chat so I can get assistance with my issue?

Any way to show an image-only or info-only step?

I’m looking to set up a feedback form, but would like to show specific images or info on a step/slide before jumping into questions, as the feedback will be based on said image/info. It’s also important no to cover this up with a button, otherwise a full screen background image using a statement might have been a workaround. Any way to do this currently? Thanks!

Feature Request - Form Input Validation (email)

Other platforms allow form creator to set certain form vaildation criteria that must be met in order to advance.  We’re trying to use Typeform for lead capture and want to block personal emails (gmail, outlook, hotmail etc)The only thing I’ve found is using logic to reroute those users - but that is not the experience we want. We want an warning to pop up saying they must use a work email. Tally does this

Please add ability to change form placeholders

Yet another cry to add this super simple feature: editing placeholders for form fields  As a software engineer myself I know how stupid easy this would be to do. Need this feature to consider Typeform a long-term solution or else we are going to need to migrate elsewhere. Can you please get your head of product and send them a screenshot of this please? Tell them I’ll even help code it for them and work with their QA team. Email verification as a necessary condition for submitting forms

Hello everyone,We are having more and more problems with spam, like probably all Typeform customers. We are therefore urgently seeking a solution that only allows existing emails to be accepted in the forms. How can this be done with Typeform or by when can you implement it?Furthermore, it would be very important that it is easy to define domains from which no emails are accepted (gmail etc.) without having to incorporate complex logic. We only want to accept existing business email addresses and nothing else.Thanks

Delete step while in the Logic screen

If we have to remove obsolete questions, we first put them off the happy path in the Logic screen. These questions have no incoming branch. Once we test the survey, we can proceed with removing these questions.Issue: There is no delete option on the steps in the Logic screen.Current delete method: We have to switch to the Content screen. When in the content screen, it’s not easy to to tell if we are going to delete the same question that we identified in the Logic screen (trust me, it’s scary!). I have to switch between the Content and Logic screen multiple times just to make sure I am deleting the right one.Ask: Provide delete (trash icon) functionality on each of the steps in the Logic screen, so the user can remove that content while in that Logic screen itself without having to switch to the Content screen.

Session ID and Google Sheet ID

If a Typeform is linked to a google sheet, how can we retrieve the google sheet id in Typeform?Can we have a unique ID for each typeform runtime?Like a session id that's unique among all users and all surveys for that Typeform account.For example, if a same user fills up the same survey form multiple times (maybe concurrently), there should be an ID to differentiate them. Empty variables populate differently depending on whether used in follow up or redirect URL

I’m using variables to create the redirect URL and also add a link in the follow up emails.However, empty variables are populated differently in these two use cases which is causing problems for the dynamic content on the destination page.In the redirect, empty variables populate as _____In the follow up email URL, empty variables populate as [Not asked] I would like both to function the same way, ideally to populate empty variables as [Not asked], if indeed the question has not been asked.

Choices for Dropdown list

https://www.typeform.com/help/a/dropdown-question-360037943011/ Q1. How can I add a choice that shows different UI and backend values? (like the way we can do in HTML dropdown control). For example, show Red/Green/Yellow on the front end, but save the RGB values in the backend. Can we save both front end and back end values as separate fields to the Typeform Responses table?Q2. For my user case, each member can have a different list of choices. If the list of choices are separated by a delimiter (comma), and if a hidden field capture this list, can this hidden field be the source of the dropdown?If not, can you please add the functionality of using a field (hidden or user defined field) as source for dropdown? and in which format should the field value be, so that the Typeform can parse each option? Additionally, how to define a value presented in the UI versus the backend value?

Decrypt URL parameters

Under the Results tab -> Insights and Summary, the data is aggregated based on all views and responses from all users.Question: Can the Insights/Summary shows stats based for a given survey member?Requirement: We want to see how the a given survey end user response (numeric) have changed over time Design:Let's say the developer defines the key columns (email_id or first_name and last_name) that identifies a specific userA drop down would let the developer select all or a given survey userThe stats should then show the total views/submissions for that member.Another drop down to filter any column of type DateTime to filter by dates. Feature request: more options for numerical fields

We would really like to have better control over the expected/accepted format of the “Number” content type (or a new content type if that’s easier). You currently only support only integers, with controls for min and max number.We could really use a floating number (decimal) option as well, with controls for:min/max value number of decimals negative numbers allowedIn addition, it would be really good to be able to add a preceding/trailing item for guiding users that we’re expecting a certain value like percentage or money. I.e the field could have a prefilled % character trailing the input field. Or a $ character before the input field.Right now we have to sue a very clunky workaround by using a short text type, and putting in instructions like “Enter as a percentage value with 2 decimal places. No negative numbers allowed. Also, don’t go over 500%, pretty please as it breaks our backend calculations.” Of course, there’s no enforcement available of these instructions, so all we can do

Multiple answer fields within one question + a Text box and numerical answer field

Hi team,as good as typeform is especially with user friendly. It could use several quality of life changes. For example, an option to create a question and allow for multiple answers rather than using logic / question group will GO A LONG WAY. Trust me. This saves time on surveyors and respondents end too! I am so not sure why this isn’t there and not implemented on the platform yet.Additionally, I want to add a question which asks the top 5 age groups and provide the percentages of these age groups? I could create 5 multiple choice with multiple selection option but it would be nice to have an option to add a text field with these multiple choices too. Best RegardsA.

AI Translation: Questions about particular aspects of the design.

Question about your AI Translations. I understand that this feature is in Beta, but I wanted to get a clearer idea of what's happening before implementing on our end. Here's some questions I'd love to have the answers to:It seems like the translation is being done on-the-fly each time: will the translations themselves be consistent across users for any given language? (i.e. if a person takes the survey in AI-translated Spanish today, will another user who takes the survey in Spanish next week have the same translation for their survey - provided no changes have been made to the original English version?) If there are individual terms or words we'd like translated using a particular word or phrase is there a way to do that manually? Is it possible from the survey data itself to ascertain whether someone filled out their form using AI Translation? Does the survey data itself show what language someone used to fill out their survey (i.e. an additional "language" column)? Separately, is

Remove "my new form" and "takes 15 sec start".

Hi All,I have added the type form link to the framer site and after the opening the site in the mobile it shows me this attached image. I have been exploring the settings but I couldn’t able to find a way to disable this.This screen doesnt come in the desktop version.tldr: I want to remove this preview and clicking and directly show the form

Feature Request: Cookiebot CMP Integraiton with Typeform via Google Tag Manager

OverviewTypeform’s current cookie consent solution is very limited and self-contained. In this post, I’ll first talk about the issues with Typeform’s current cookie consent solution, and then provide some suggestions that can help, like integrations with other cookie consent solutions like Cookiebot.Current Problems First, let’s say someone visits your website, and you already use a cookie consent solution like Cookiebot. When they first visit, they’re presented with a cookie banner and they accept all cookies. After exploring your site, they arrive at a page with an embedded Typeform quiz (which has it’s own cookie consent functionality set to ‘on’) and decide to take it. In this scenario, they’re asked for cookie consent again through the Typeform embed. That just doesn’t make for a clean user experience since the differing cookie consent software (the one used on the website vs. Typeform’s built-in one) don’t talk to each other or recognize cookies have already been accepted or deni
