I can’t believe it’s already December! 🎄 In the spirit of the holidays, we’ve made a list of 2023 VideoAsk updates, checked it twice and decided which ones were naughty and nice… Adjust Video PositionWay back in April we released the adjust video position feature, giving you more control over how a video looks once uploaded. Pause/Resume Recording In July we added a pause/resume option to the video recording functionality. We added a pause button to the webcam recording option in case you need a quick breather mid recording or if you’ve forgotten what to say next! AI Summary Launched in August, the AI summary generates a text summary of video and audio responses so you can easily check back on your messages and give yourself a quick reminder before replying! Hey Community! We’re back with November’s VideoAsk update 🍂 Browser notifications You can now enable browser notifications, which give you a reminder every time you get a new response to your videoask 🔔 So if, like me, you always have a million tabs open, you don’t need to be jumping back and forth to see if you got a new response, you can just switch this on and then watch the pop ups roll in! New 2,000-minute self serve plan Due to popular demand we’ve extended the number of minutes available for the Brand+ self serve plan. You no longer need to chat to a member of our sales team to increase your minutes, you can head straight to the Plan & Billing section of your account and simply move the slider along! We’ve reached October with its falling leaves and pumpkin harvests (depending on where you are in the world...) so of course it’s time for another product update! 🎃 New Gallery View You may have noticed a new look to the way videoasks are displayed in folders. We’ve created a new gallery style overview so you can easily navigate between videoasks and see which ones have new interactions.There’s also a search bar so you can find the videoask you need, and you can click on the 3 dots to edit, move, duplicate or share your videoask. Hey Community! September is here already, where has the time gone?! If you took some time off over the summer we hope you’re feeling refreshed and ready to get back to creating some cool videoasks! 😎 So, what’s new in VideoAsk I hear you cry! New VideoAsk Dashboard The new dashboard view allows you to check activity on your latest videoask. It gives you an overview from the last 30 days so you can quickly check how your videoask has been performing. To see the dashboard, click the new icon on the left, just below the search bar. From here you’ll be able to check some general metrics, an overview of responses and the number of new contacts collected in the past month: If you need a more in-depth look at metrics you can click the purple links. Hi everyone! This month sees the release of a brand new feature! 🎉 AI Summaries Got a bunch of new video or audio responses in your inbox but you’re short on time? Now you can get a quick written summary of the message thanks to a bit of AI magic ✨Simply select the response you want to check, and you should see the new AI BETA icon on the right: Just click the button and watch as a pop up appears with a summary of your message: Once the summary is generated you can go back to it any time to give yourself a quick refresher on the message. This will be especially useful if you’re in a place where you can’t listen to audio (maybe you forgot your headphones and you’re on the train!) or if you already watched the video, but need a quick reminder before replying to the person that sent the message. Summer has arrived over in my corner of the world, so I’m just going to imagine we’re all chilling by a pool while we catch up on the latest VideoAsk updates 😎 What’s new? 👀 Pause/resume video recording If, like me, you tend to record directly through VideoAsk using the webcam option, you'll be pleased to hear you can now pause while recording. This is going to be pretty handy if you suddenly forget an important bit of information or need to sneeze and you don’t want to re-record the whole video! You should now see the pause option appear as you begin recording a video: Simply click on the pause button, and then when you’re ready to jump back into the video click resume: You’ll still be able to review the video and re-record if needed before you commit to anything, which is especially handy when sending replies! Hey everyone! 👋 We’re flying under the radar with May’s VideoAsk Product Update, blink and you’ll miss it, but it’s a goodun! If you’re familiar with the video controls on a videoask you’ll know that you can turn on/off closed captions, speed up playback or switch on/off full screen mode. Hello everyone! April has arrived and with it a light shower of VideoAsk product updates! ☔️ Here’s what’s new over in the VideoAsk builder: Adjust video position A much anticipated and hopefully much appreciated update, you can now adjust the position of your video once it’s been uploaded to a step. Under the video tab in each step you’ll now find the options to change the video position: And while you play around with the position, don’t forget to use the controls under the preview step to see how it will look on desktop, mobile or embed view. Embed previewAs I just mentioned, you can now preview how the videoask will look in embed mode. Previously you could only flip between desktop and mobile but now we’ve added a third option to give you an idea of how each step will look when it’s embedded on a web page. Hey Community! 🌸 March has arrived and the VideoAsk product team has sprung into action with some new updates to help you navigate around your account with ease. Share panelWe’ve made some changes to how things look when it comes to sharing your videoask. You’ll still be able to go to the same places to share your videoask - from the builder and from the inbox view, but now when you click to share this is what you’ll see: There are still all the same options available for sharing: Email Iframe or widget embed Social media Link But hopefully this new layout will make things a little easier to navigate when it comes to sharing the right way for you. Collapsible sidebar We’ve been listening to your feedback, and have made some changes to the folder menu to help save some space while you’re navigating around your account. Well Community, that’s a wrap for 2022! 🎉 There have been so many great VideoAsk updates this year we wanted to share a few highlights before we get cracking on more new features and improvements in 2023. 🤩 Reply with Audio Back in July we announced the arrival of Reply with Audio, allowing creators the choice to reply back to respondents via either video or audio message. 📹 Here’s the demo: Manually Add Contacts Another new release launched in July was the ability to Add Contacts to your Contacts list! Previously, the only way to have a contact appear in the list would be if someone had responded to your videoask, but now you can add in a contact and kick off a conversation via direct video message. Let’s take a look at what’s new in VideoAsk 🎁 Respondent email confirmationHave you ever completed a videoask and wondered whether your response has been sent? Or perhaps you’ve been using VideoAsk for recruitment and have had a few nervous applicants worried their application didn’t arrive in your inbox. It's something we’ve heard in the past, so we’ve added an option to send respondents a confirmation email. Hi everyone! Can you believe we’re already in November? 😱 Let’s get cracking with this month's updates as the VideoAsk product team have been rather busy again! Reply to many The big news this month is the launch of the Reply to many feature! 🎉 This means, you can now send the same message to multiple contacts at once, making your reply time more efficient! 📹 Here’s how it’s done: This feature could be useful for replying to event submissions and course applications, or sending replies to candidates answering your recruitment videoasks. Check out the guide here to learn more: Adjustable reply length Previously you could only control the time limit for an initial response to your videoask (so the first time someone answers you). If you then continued with an asynchronous conversation respondents could leave lengthier replies due to the default settings (up to 300 seconds). Now you can also set a time limit for any follow up responses, so if you only ever want 30 second replies, y

Let's take a look at what’s new in VideoAsk 🤩 Increased recording length Remember last month we increased the video upload size to 500MB? Well to help you get even more out of your conversations we’ve also increased the recording length for video and audio, both in steps and in replies, so now you can choose to record for up to 5 minutes. This will come in handy when you’ve got just a little bit more information to share with respondents – no need to reply back twice, just keep it all in one message! Ignore human notifications This one has been on our radar for a while, many of you have asked if there’s a way to switch off those pesky human notifications and only get pinged for responses with contact details. If you’ve had a little break for the summer, we hope you’re feeling rested and ready to dive back into creating some cool new videoasks 😎 We’ve been continuing to make little tweaks and updates, so let’s take a look at what’s new this month 👀 Screen sharing gets a makeover This one has been a big contender on the VideoAsk feature request board, so we were extremely excited for the new screen share updates to go live! Previously, when using the screen share function within VideoAsk, that’s all you could do, simply share your screen. Now you can use picture in picture mode to show your face as you explain your screen shares, adding that extra personal touch to the video. If you don’t need or want to record yourself (we all have bad hair days let’s face it) you can switch face recording off and go back to a classic screen recording. Yes, with the new drag and drop system in the VideoAsk builder, we can! Reply with audio Up until now, as a creator we’ve only had the option to reply to respondents using video. Now you can just as easily send them a quick audio message, so you can keep the conversation going even if you’re not camera ready! 📹 Let’s take a look at how it works: Manually add contacts to VideoAsk After the success of importing your Typeform contacts to your VideoAsk account you can now manually add a contact into your Contacts list! Hey Community! It’s already April 😱 but we’re no fools, it’s time to shower you with some product updates ☔ - here’s what’s been happening in the world of VideoAsk! Live Calls We’ve made some updates to the live call feature, you can now add in your working hours and vacation time 🏖 your videoask live calls will correspond with your business hours and you’ll never miss a call again! Let’s take a look at the Live Call feature: Filter by Score and Date You may have noticed in the last few months we’ve been tweaking and refining the filter options in the VideoAsk inbox. Now you can also filter your responses by score and date - so if you’ve started using the scoring functionality in advanced logic you’ll be able to filter those responses to easily get to the most important leads, or simply filter by date to help you keep on top of when responses landed in your inbox. March is here already and with it comes some updates to VideoAsk, so let’s dive in and take a look at what’s new Automatic Tagging If you’ve used the tagging system in VideoAsk before, you’ll know it’s handy for filtering and organizing responses, but it can be a bit of a manual process individually tagging responses: Tagging responses This month the VideoAsk team have released auto tagging. This lets you set up advanced logic within your videoask to automatically tag responses based on answers as they come through! Once you’ve set up your videoask flow, you can add auto tagging by selecting a step and going to the Logic tab, here you can toggle on Advanced Logic to set up the tags: Advanced Logic toggle From here, click + Add new condition and select which answers you would like to tag: Tag response You can choose from a drop down list of pre-existing tags, or create a new tag here: Drop down list of tags available You can repeat this for as many steps as needed, and add multiple
Hello community! It’s shaping up to be a busy 2022 in the world of VideoAsk and the team are working on lots of product updates plus some new releases. We’ll be keeping you up to date here on the community, so let’s take a look at what’s new so far this year Mark interactions as unreadAs people respond to your videoask your inbox will start filling up with interactions and it can be a little tricky to keep track of what has been responded to and what still needs looking at - enter the mark as unread feature! Now when a response comes through it will automatically have a purple dot next to it so you can easily see which interactions need looking at, plus if you check the response but don’t have time to reply, or need to leave a response for a fellow team member to see, you can mark the response as unread to go back to later.
