Help Needed: Integrating VideoAsk with User Identification via API

Hi Community, I'm embedding a VideoAsk questionnaire into my website using an iframe. Users log in to our site beforehand, and I need to track responses per specific user instead of anonymously. Could someone guide me on: How to pass our user ID to VideoAsk through an iframe? How to get detailed user interaction data from VideoAsk via their API? Any guidance or links to documentation would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Integrating new VideoAsk responses to Google Sheet

Last year, we built 2 VideoAsk ‘apps’ (one for summer only and one for year round classes). After they were built, we ran through a relatively simple process that created the google sheets to receive the VideoAsk responses. We built google app script to sort, clean, and order the 154 possible responses (per app ‘session’) so we could make the responses actionable for our staff. We turned the summer app off at the end of summer and left the year round app continue - it’s still working today. When we turned on the Summer app again this year, it will no longer connect to google sheets… we have to go through Zapier now and that has NOT been useful. We attempted creating a new sheet and workbook but nothing has worked to date. We have tried to use Zapier, using the documentation about moving ‘special variables’, but it does not work. And, Zapier doesn’t appear to be able to read the 154 questions for me to create 154 special variables. I can not find documentation to explain a way to simply

VideoAsk Webhook is not sending

I created a webhook and in all requests I get the error:"No response(Invalid Date)". the url is accessible and is responding with an OK for testing purposes. when I copy the payload straight into my code, my script works correctly. apparently the webhook is not being sent. For testing purposes, I created a new form (https://www.videoask.com/XXXXX) with the webhook pointing to pipedream https://XXXXXXX.m.pipedream.net and the error persists It worked well until a few days into the project in production.

How to delay the videoask script on my website

I have a videoask on my website, but I would like it to appear after a few seconds on the web. Can this be controlled from the script somehow? Does anyone know a bit of programming or if this is possible. It is that what I do not want is that it loads immediately when a user accesses the web

X pixel integration with Videoform

Hi everyone. I am looking to run ads through x and using my videoask I created as my landing page to qualify and get new leads. I was looking for help with integrating X pixel to my videoask. How do I add multiple subtitles to a video?

I already have the video subtitles for all the languages divided into the given times. But I don't know how to add these subtitles to the video, I tried to duplicate the video and create a video for each subtitle, but when I changed 1, all the others changed too. So I wanted to know how to make the subtitles available, either in separate videos or together.

Using Variables in videoask embed from Paidmembership Pro (or alternatively Learndash)

I would like to use videoasks on members only pages but don’t want them to need to fill out the name and email fields. ( Is there a way to do this? If not… is there a way with Learndash?) Thanks!

API access tokens

Hi everyone,We're having trouble right now with a development that relies on a data collection service.Using Production API CredentialsNow that we've built your app with VideoAsk, you can write the app itself using your own client_id and client_secret. Your app will need to generate an access token (and possibly a refresh token as well) to integrate with the VideoAsk APIs. This requires making authorization and authentication requests through your browser-based app.The first request, GET https://auth.videoask.com/authorize, confirms your client_id, prompts the user to grant the permissions your app requires, and returns a temporary authorization code.The second request, POST https://api.videoask.com/oauth/token, confirms your temporary authorization code and returns your access token. (this is not a problem)The https://api.videoask.com/authorize link in your app, including the parameters, the problem is that it needs human intervention, as far as I can see, but maybe I missed something

Embedding replies into wordpress/learndash pages.

I use learndash to run asynchronous global cohorts. I would like to use videoask as a way to:1. Checking in at the beginning of the course by introducing themselves via videoask. The videoask requests them to do a self introduction. I’d like every response to the videoask to show up on the page where the videoask is. 2 Answering questions/sharing comments. Throughout the course I’d like to ask a question via videoask for participants to reply to and be able to see/hear each other’s answers. I have tried using Zapier, but each time a new reply comes in, it over writes previous replies. How can I set this up?

Cannot call VideoAsk's URL variables to "redirect to URL" to feed Typeform's hidden variables

I am trying to use the "redirect to URL" ending to take users from VideoAsk to typeform. I need to be able to drag the hidden variables appended to the VideoASk URL to the TypeformURL, but those are not showing up as options in the Redirect to a URL dropdown. Is there a way to do this?

How to pass a Typeform hidden field to a VideoAsk that is within the form?

I have a Typeform with VideoAsk questions within the form, for example: Questions 4 and 7 out of 10 questions are VideoAsks. The Typeform has a participant_id as a hidden field that lets me identify who answered the form (need this for my application). As you may know, VideoAsk responses are not embedded to the Typeform Response, instead they are saved to VideoAsk. Here is where I want to pass the participant_id so that in my VideoAsk account I can see the ID and identify which participant it came from. Please help :(

Hello, We would like to prompt Videoask to appear as a floating widget when a Call-to-Action button is clicked on our website. Currently, clicking the Call-to-Action button prompts Videoask to appear in a new web page. How to remove the videoask widget from view

Hey, we've had some feedback that the replaying gif on the corner of the website is annoying on mobile. Is there a way that users can remove it? I can explain it and close the playing video but no way of closing the small circle. I can't find the option. Thanks so much! Merv 😊

Use Videoask to record a video from my website

Hi all, I’m developing a website and my customer wants to use videoask during the onboarding procedure (when an invited user enter in the website for the first time). In this phase, the user fills various fields like name, job, and so on, and, at the end, he should record a video with some information about him. My customer ask me to do it by using VideoAsk. After recording the video, I have to store something (I think some reference to the video) in my DB, so other users in the community can see the video. How to do this by VideoAsk? Thanks!

Facebook Ad Conversion Events

I’ve gone ahead and added my Facebook pixel to one of my video asks, and I’d like to be able to create a conversion event when someone submits their contact information. What’s the next step here? I’m not sure how to create a custom conversion event with VideoAsk - thank you!

Fullscreen format Videoask not working

Hello again there, I have a question regarding the fullscreen format. Why doesn't it open correctly when using the iframe integration in fullscreen mode? Are there additional parameters required for this integration? Instead of using the quick embed code you provided, I’m currently using this: window.VIDEOASK_EMBED_CONFIG = { "kind": "widget", "url": "[URL]", "options": { "widgetType": "VideoThumbnailExtraLarge", "text": "", "backgroundColor": "#7D00FE", "position": "bottom-right", "dismissible": false, "videoPosition": "center center" } } I have tried adding options like: “fullscreen” : true and “fullscreen” : “on” but they did not work. Do you have the solution for this? Thank you!

Help chaning calendar

Hello community, We are moving one of our clients’ websites into Go High Level and she’s using VideoAsk with the calendar feature. I researched and found that you cannot connect a GHL calendar to that. The instructions were to use the button answer type and link the calendar URL. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction of where I would find a step by step process in changing the "answer calendar type" to using the "button answer type?"Even better, if you would share a Loom video on how to do it, I would be eternally grateful! Getting blank response in VideoAsk webhook

Hi Team, Our webhook was working fine till 2nd of October but after that we are getting blank response through the Webhook URL for all videoAsk pages. Please look into this as a priority and let us know your feedback on the same. Thanks

VideoAsk integration with Airtable through Zapier

Hi everyone, I’m trying to set up a Zap to send data from VideoAsk responses to a table in Airtable, and I’m having trouble with mapping the fields. I see how to map the text field from “All Responses” in the VideoAsk trigger to a long text field in Airtable. However, I don’t see any data coming through in the trigger for the media (audio and video files). Can someone please help? Additionally, is there a way to send each of the text and media responses to a separate field for each question in Airtable, or must they all be sent to the same field? Thanks!! Emily

VideoAsk Iframe rendering issue

Hi, We have implemented VideoAsk in our web application, but we are encountering an issue. Whenever a user uploads a VideoAsk video through their webcam, typically around 2 minutes in length, we receive the VideoAsk response via the API using the contact ID. The response provides us with an iframe URL, but when we render this iframe URL, it initially displays a blank screen with the message: "There seems to have been an error with recording or uploading this video/audio." However, after some time, the iframe URL starts showing the video correctly. Could you please advise on how to overcome this issue?

VideoAsk Scoring

Hi there. I am trying to get scoring to display on my VideoAsk dashboard, but I am not having any luck. I understand the way to implement scoring is advised as advanced logic. I have tested this out and it appears to display different to the help article https://www.videoask.com/help/how-it-works/4416621623188-score-your-respondents-answers (in that there is no “add to score” option as previewed). I am building a videoask for a client that needs the responses to have a monetary value associated relative to the multichoice questions answered. Previously I was using Zapier and then HubSpot’s scoring function to handle the transferral of data to a score and then convert this into a monetary amount that is then sent via email to user. However, the client has cut the HubSpot account as it was too expensive. Ideally I am wanting to extract data from VideoAsk’s scoring to then feed through to Zapier where I can then handle changing that total score into a monetary figure and then automate an

Pulling contact info into VideoAsk

Hey team! I am building a website on Webflow that utilises Memberstack. They have a walkthrough video providing guidance on using a widget that pulls contact information using Memberstack’s 2.0 API.
