Discover the latest features and find new ways of using Typeform
Hello Typerform aficionados!Have you heard about this thing called AI? 😅Seems like it has been taking the world recently. Right? We got to play our part in this new AI wave, and today, I am excited to share our plugin for ChatGPT 🎉If you are unfamiliar with ChatGPT, it’s a chat interface where you interact with an LLM (large language model) developed by OpenAI. Since its launch, people have been using it for all kinds of things: asking about historical facts, helping draft an email, helping structure a school essay, or even running a business. So why not use it to create and design typeform? 🤩Install the Typeform plugin for ChatGPT, authorize your Typeform account, and chat naturally to it. Want to create a form?Give some context and ask ChatGPT for help:Examples:“I am organizing a conference, and I want to gather sponsorship interest. Could you help me create a form to collect leads from potential sponsors”“I am helping my local school to organize their next potluck party. I want to

Happy May, Typeformers! With a new month comes new announcements, and with heavy hearts, we are depreciating Chat UI. What began as an internal experiment blossomed into a new type of interaction for your respondents. While we’ve loved having many of you utilize Chat UI in your businesses, we haven’t found it increasing your response rates as we’d like. Here’s everything you need to know about Chat UI sunsetting: The whyThere are a few reasons why we’ve decided to part ways with the Chat UI. The most important reason is that we’ve found low usage and completion rates for those who have turned their Typeforms into the Chat UI. Additionally, the Chat UI wasn’t able to support various features we know you love, like the Calendly integration or payments. Important datesYou’ll be receiving communications from us over the next few months, but here are some important dates you need to know: May 2nd-9th: We will inform all customers that currently use the Chat UI feature about the upcoming
VideoAsk Product Digest - August 2023 📹videoask updates
Hi everyone! This month sees the release of a brand new feature! 🎉 AI Summaries Got a bunch of new video or audio responses in your inbox but you’re short on time? Now you can get a quick written summary of the message thanks to a bit of AI magic ✨Simply select the response you want to check, and you should see the new AI BETA icon on the right: Just click the button and watch as a pop up appears with a summary of your message: Once the summary is generated you can go back to it any time to give yourself a quick refresher on the message. This will be especially useful if you’re in a place where you can’t listen to audio (maybe you forgot your headphones and you’re on the train!) or if you already watched the video, but need a quick reminder before replying to the person that sent the message. Feedback Wanted This month the VideoAsk product team is also asking for your feedback. If you are currently using both Typeform and VideoAsk, or considering using both products we would love
VideoAsk Product Digest - July 2023 📹videoask updates
Hey Community! Summer has arrived over in my corner of the world, so I’m just going to imagine we’re all chilling by a pool while we catch up on the latest VideoAsk updates 😎 What’s new? 👀 Pause/resume video recording If, like me, you tend to record directly through VideoAsk using the webcam option, you'll be pleased to hear you can now pause while recording. This is going to be pretty handy if you suddenly forget an important bit of information or need to sneeze and you don’t want to re-record the whole video! You should now see the pause option appear as you begin recording a video: Simply click on the pause button, and then when you’re ready to jump back into the video click resume: You’ll still be able to review the video and re-record if needed before you commit to anything, which is especially handy when sending replies! For more info on selecting a video footage source, check out our Help Center article here. This feature is currently only available to creators when rec

This feature doesn’t need much explaining, so I’ll dive right into explaining how to add this block to your form in the video below: To use this question: Search or select the question by clicking the + button on the upper left corner of the builder. Next, choose which questions you would like to appear and which you’d like to be marked required. Finally, be sure to publish your typeform so the changes are live! 📣 New feature alert! Live form embeddingNew feature
Happy August, typeformers! For those of you who love to embed your typeforms, you’re really going to dig this new feature. Our product team has made a small (but mighty!) update to the embed code. Previously, if you made any changes to the design of the embed (such as the button text/colors/etc), you needed to re-embed the code for those changes to go live. Now, with our updated live embed feature, you can make any changes to the look of your embedded typeform and those changes will automatically reflect in your embedded typeform. No more need to re-embed each time you make a change! Watch the video below to learn more about this feature or read about it in our Help Center article here. As always, share any feedback or comments in the thread below. Happy embedding!
Chat UI discontinuation updateAnnouncements
Happy almost June, Typeformers! You may remember our announcement earlier this month in the post here about deprecating the Chat UI: First, thank you all for your feedback and sharing your use cases. We realized it was a bit too soon to deprecate chat, so thanks to your feedback, we’ve decided to move the switch-off date to August 31st, 2023. We know it isn’t easy to say goodbye to a feature, but we hope the extra time gives you the chance to adjust to the change. And don’t stop sharing your use cases! We’d love to see how you’ve been using chat and offer any alternative suggestions for embeds, such as using our popover option. We chose to deprecate the Chat UI due to low usage, but we’ve been working on new innovative ways to collect, such as Formless. While this isn’t a replacement for the Chat UI, it might be a useful option for you in the future if you’re looking for an even more conversational form…less. If you’d like to be the first to know when our beta version is available, s

Hello, wonderful Typeform community! If you read our post here or attended our webinar last month, you might have seen us using a new AI feature, Smart Content Optimization. If you’re wondering what on Earth this is, you’re in for a treat! Writing questions succinctly isn’t everyone’s strongest quality, so we’ve made it easier for you by using AI to provide suggestions for shortening your questions while making it clear what you’re asking based on the data our models have learned from other typeforms. This feature will appear when you type a question that has more than ten words. Take a peek at how it works below! To use this feature, when ten or more words are typed into a question, three little purple stars will appear. Then, a newly generated question will appear. You can accept or reject this suggestion. And that’s it! As always, let us know what you think of this feature in the comments thread below.
🚨 New feature alert! Lead Qualificationnew feature
Happy official summertime, Typeform Community! And with summer comes, a boatful of new features. Our latest one, the Lead Qualification block, will help you save some time so you can be out in the sun while the leads roll in. With the Lead Qualification block, you can set scoring based on answers to specific questions on your form and then send customized responses according to the lead score. Getting started is easy! All you have to do is: First, add the “Lead Qualification” block to your form. You can do this by clicking the + button on the upper-lefthand corner of the builder. Next, assign scores to the relevant question answers. You can assign scores to some or all of the questions on your form, depending on how you have decided your lead scoring. Finally, create follow-up actions

Hello and happy near-June, Typeformers! If you’ve been keeping up with our email announcements recently, you might have read an update about our integrations. We wanted to post a little reminder here to make sure you're aware of what's happening. In late April, we communicated that the following integrations would no longer be available in Typeform Connect, our integration marketplace: The following integrations will be impacted: Asana Constant Contact Convertkit Mailerlite Onedrive Productboard Thinkific Zendesk Sell We decided to sunset these integrations to allow us to focus our resources on improving more widely-used integrations such as Mailchimp, Slack, and Hubspot (to name a few). You can still connect Typeform with these apps using tools like Zapier, Make or through our webhooks. (I’m personally working on updating my Typeform to Asana integration in Zapier - I’ll be sure to update you all if I find a cool use case to share). The last day these native integrations will be av
