Happy almost June, Typeformers! You may remember our announcement earlier this month in the post here about deprecating the Chat UI:

 

First, thank you all for your feedback and sharing your use cases. We realized it was a bit too soon to deprecate chat, so thanks to your feedback, we’ve decided to move the switch-off date to August 31st, 2023

 

We know it isn’t easy to say goodbye to a feature, but we hope the extra time gives you the chance to adjust to the change. And don’t stop sharing your use cases! We’d love to see how you’ve been using chat and offer any alternative suggestions for embeds, such as using our popover option. 

 

We chose to deprecate the Chat UI due to low usage, but we’ve been working on new innovative ways to collect, such as Formless. While this isn’t a replacement for the Chat UI, it might be a useful option for you in the future if you’re looking for an even more conversational form…less.

 

If you’d like to be the first to know when our beta version is available, sign up here. We’re also running an early alpha testing group. Drop a comment in the thread below if you want to take part.

@Karine  - love Formless~!!!!  I hope it becomes a “native” part of Typeform - and not “separate like VideoAsk is separate” which means “more fees, more products, more permission needed from bosses/IT-managers , accounts departments etc.”

 

Can you confirm - if beta goes well - it’ll be native part of  “Typeform”  (not an “extra add on” extra fee) ?

@Karine  @Liz  as you are not going to develop Chatbot - may I strongly recommend talking to “Drift” [drift dot com ] to natively integrate with them “because” - just like Typeform they take great love and care of “design’ and they are chatbot specialists. Therefore I see a beautiful “Synergy” between your two companies - as you are not competing  but different purposes, so collaborative synergy [hence I suggest it]. They are only focused on “chat bot” [and if other things then Hubspot like features such as emailing].

 

Can you take a look. You’ll be surprised how similar they are to you in “world’s most beautiful design” you have !! At a minimal - the ability to API link with them from your end natively would be great . Also talk to their product managers :)

@Brain let me check on your first question. 

On the second part - I used to love using Drift! What kind of integration would you be looking for? For example, having the form within the conversation? 
 

I used to use Drift for my personal website, so I totally get your love for it. (I replaced it with VideoAsk a bit ago.)

 

We would also love to be included in the beta!
