Long form - how to delete prompt

shanadressler

I find the feature in the long form option “Shift ⇧ + Enter ↵ to make a line break” very confusing when I tested my first survey. How do you get rid of it?

@shanadressler - welcome to the community from a fellow user.

you can change the text of the that message in Messages area

you can see the shift etc in that Hint space.

you can change it to any message you want

BUT you cannot delete it or use must a space - ifyou do you will see the following:

note the ‘block message’ under the entry line.

@Liz @Mariana - anything you wonderful official Typeformers can add to or correct about my comments??

Hi @shanadressler as Des mentioned, it isn’t possible to delete the prompt, I’m afraid. But I can suggest changing the wording to something else that might be more fitting to your audience! :grinning:

john.desborough Thanks so much for your response!

Hi

So we cannot use the standard Enter for the line break in the long form option?

Always we have to use shift + enter, for the line break?

Because all the editors use the Enter for the line break.

Thanks

That is correct, @albert sunomono . Your respondents will either need to click the submit button or click Shift + Enter.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
