How do I set up form validation to ensure respondents cannot proceed until specific criteria are met?

Hi Team,

I’m Darshan Hiranandani, encountering an issue with our Typeforms where even though a question is marked as required, users can still scroll past it without providing an answer. We need to ensure that users cannot progress to the next section unless they answer all required questions.

Could anyone provide suggestions on the following?

  1. Form Validation: How can we enforce form validation in Typeform to prevent users from advancing if a required question is left unanswered?

  2. Required Question Handling: What steps can we take to ensure that Typeform doesn't allow users to scroll past and skip required questions?

  3. Progress Restriction: How can we configure Typeform to block progression to the next page unless all required fields are completed?

  4. Enforcing Answer Input: What settings or techniques should be used in Typeform to make sure respondents must answer required questions before moving forward?

  5. Prevent Skipping: How can we disable the option for users to skip required questions in our Typeform?

  6. Typeform Configuration: Are there any specific configurations or customizations in Typeform that can help in ensuring required questions are answered before proceeding?

  7. Ensuring Completion: What are the best practices for ensuring that all required questions are answered in Typeform before users can continue?

Your suggestions and guidance on addressing this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Darshan Hiranandani

Hi @darshanhiranandani23 Happy Friday! I hope you’re having a good one. This article here can walk you through how to set up logic jumps to prevent the respondent from viewing the next question until they’ve completed the previous one. 😀
