My Survey Design does not carry forward once I link it to my website - it goes to the default setting though I have created it and see correctly on the Typeform platform

Based on what you said, it seems the latest changes have not been published yet. This means there's a difference between the version in your Create panel (and preview) and the live version of the form.
Could you please go ahead and press the Publish button in the top-right corner of your Create panel? That should do the trick :)
