Editing existing form & conserve current data in Gsheets

Hi,

Hope everyone is doing well :)

I have an existing Typeform and I would like to add some more questions to it.

However, I do not want to compromise current responses in the Gsheet.

My thought process is that once I add the questions to the form, I would need to then create the new columns in the Gsheet. Then once I publish the from, new entries will be recorded in order. I will have previous data without those columns populated, and new data with those columns populated.

(I have the form / file integrated with Zappier)

Is this the right process?

Many thanks in advance.

@JG_ - create a duplicate of the form first. this is a ‘safety mechanism’ to have a backup of the original.

if you are NOT changing any of the fields you should be fine with your approach

Is there a reason you did not use the native connection from Typeform to Google  Sheets? if you had, the new fields would automatically be created and populated in the Google Sheet without having to create them.
