I have a basic survey with branching based on their answer to question 1. I added in a new question {date of birth} now as a date question and hit publish and I don’t see it. Am I missing something?

one thing that might be ‘in the way’ is the logic routing on the prior question … did you set it to specifically go to a given question - that would bypass the inserted question (potentially)
double check your logic and post screen shots if it still sticks out like a sore thumb and we can try and help.
