Hi,

Is it possible to change the color of the “Description” font? In my case it is grey, which is a bit hard to see on my black background.

I checked the Theme properties but the description font does not appear there.

Thanks!

Hello again, @Xinnamon !

The description text will automatically format to be a slightly lighter color than the one chosen for the question text, but I can also understand how this is frustrating if you have a specific color you’d like. I’ll share this feedback with our product team, and I’d also encourage you to share it below, too!

+1 this. We’re a design agency designing a typeform for a client, and having the form make design choices for us is creating an issue. The options you have built in are great(!), it’s just this extra step to make design choices we can’t change that makes an issue.

Thanks for the feedback, @Scodo ! We’ll let you know if any new features with design are added to the builder.

+1 this

That's annoying that you can choose the font size for the welcome screen, but not the font color.

+1 this, haven’t seen this (what seems like a simple) addition in the 2 years of this post being made...

please please add this, why can I customize literally everything else but description text.

even this comment is more customizable

Hey everyone, we’re passing this feedback onto our product teams and will keep you posted if this makes it onto the road map! Thank you for taking the time to upvote this feature request 🙏

+1 on this. The readability is not great. Such a shame.

+1.  not having this will make me have to use another service for the first time.  It is absolutely essential on the current project i am working on  ☹️

Wow, years old request still not done.

It’s such a simple, yet obvious design feature that should have been included in the first place.

Why does every simple and good idea just get ignored by you guys?

Wow...still no progress here? This suggestion was posted over 2 years ago, with strong support. Nothing? Moving on to another tool...

Hi @cthigpen Thanks for stopping by and sharing your request for this. While we don’t have this in the works at the moment, that’s not to say that we won’t ever! I’ll add your request to the feature request for this.

Guys, this is super ridiculous. I'm a developer myself, and if you hire me, I can have this done within a week. This post is 3 years old.

Hi @imwaitingforages Thanks for sharing your feedback! Our product team is working on numerous font updates, such as the ability to add custom fonts. I’ll share your feedback with them but keep an eye out here for any other updates!

Thank you! I will be back in 10 years!

+1 I was thinking the same

@Liz … too late. I found a more robust platform a while ago. They don’t let critical requests linger for three years either… bye bye

@imwaitingforages And I will still be here! 🤣

@cthigpen We totally understand finding a platform that fits your needs - glad to here you were able to!

THIS IS APPALLING!!!!!  This isn’t a “nice-to-have” feature or a feature that simply makes things look pretty… It’s an accessibility issue for people who have vision challenges!!!

Typeform you should be ashamed of yourselves for not considering basic accessibility needs for people with disabilities. 😡😵

And please don’t fob me off with the bog standard responses you’ve been dropping to everybody, who’s flagged this as an issue for the last 3 years!!! It’s insulting.

Hey everyone, I'm sorry to hear the frustration this is causing. I'd like to explain a couple of things which will help ensure that you're picking the correct color for you form. The description text uses a faded version of the question color as mentioned before.

In order to ensure you've picked a color with enough contrast, you can use the accessibility checker. It includes a (hidden) color contrast check for the description text with the background color. The "Question text color contrast against the background" check won't pass if the description text doesn't have enough contrast.

While I understand that in an ideal world, you would like to be able to set the color of each element individually, it is possible to ensure enough color contrast to comply to accessibility guidelines. I can assure you that accessibility is important to us and that we regularly test with users through a platform called Fable.

I hope that clarifies things a little bit.
