How are you getting TikTok audiences to actually complete a Typeform?

I’m experimenting with driving traffic from TikTok to a short Typeform quiz, but I’m running into a problem — lots of clicks, hardly any completions.

The form is only 5 questions long, but it seems like people drop off after the first or second question. I’ve tried adding a strong call-to-action in the video and in the link text, but it’s still not converting well.

Has anyone here cracked this? Is it about making the form more engaging, asking fewer questions, or changing how it’s framed in the TikTok content itself? I’d really like to hear from anyone who’s actually seen success with this.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share some observations from my own experiments that might help.

One thing I noticed is that the type of audience you’re sending to the Typeform really matters. For instance, I recently tried driving traffic on TikTok 18 from ProTikTok18 — a version of TikTok that attracts users looking for extra features and exclusive content. I found that this audience was more curious and willing to interact with short forms or quizzes, but only if the first question immediately grabbed their attention.

A few tips that seemed to help improve completions:

  • Make the first question simple or engaging, so users feel like they can finish quickly.

  • Use a clear incentive or teaser in the TikTok video — let them know why completing the quiz is worth it.

  • Align the style of the form with your TikTok content — if your videos are playful and fast-paced, the quiz should reflect that vibe.

Even with a short 5-question form, this alignment between audience, content, and form style seemed more important than just reducing questions.

Has anyone else tried driving Typeform responses from TikTok 18 or similar platforms? Would love to hear what worked for you.

Hi @evelyngrace thanks for sharing your findings so far, hopefully it helps anyone thats sending traffic from TikTok to Typeform.

I’ve not seen many people do this so far, so will be interesting to see if anyone joins the thread to share ideas!
