How to display mobile video | Community

I want to upload a video that’s 9:16 aspect ratio so it shows as the background on mobile, and takes up the entire left side on desktop. No matter what I try, the video ends up landscape. Can someone tell me how to do this or if it’s even possible? Support keeps telling me it’s my video. It’s not. I’ve tried using Vimeo and even YouTube Shorts video… it’s reformatted to become landscape. How do I correct this? Thank you.

Hi @LaurelRose Do you mind sharing the public URL of the form so I can ask our product team? Thanks in advance!

@Grace do you know if this is expected behavior? Asking just in case you’ve seen this from your VideoAsk days.

Hey @Liz! I’m not sure if it would be the same since this looks like a YT video upload, but with VideoAsk, if you filmed the video in portrait and then uploaded it to VideoAsk it wouldn’t fill the whole space and you’d get black lines either side - similar to what’s in the screenshot. We recommend filming in landscape to be able to fill the whole space available.

Not sure if that would help here @LaurelRose  - is that what you’re wanting, to fill the whole available space and then it dynamically switches layout depending on what device you’re using?

Let us know if you’re still experiencing the issue, @LaurelRose !
