Hi @mahir. Welcome to the Typeform Community :hugging:

When you set the number limit on the number question, that exact number you add is the one we would accept (not the number of digits). For example, if you want to accept numbers up to 15 digits, you should add the max number like this: 999999999999999. This way, any number up to this one, will be accepted.

First it worked for me that I got a warning if the phone number was not filled in completely and now all of a sudden not anymore. Can someone explain to me what happened? Or what exactly I can do?

I want that a maximum of 11 digits can be entered and a message appears. Likewise if less than 11 characters are filled in.

Hi @Cyko_ffm Thanks for reaching out! I’m not sure I understand the warning message. Do you mind sending a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Thanks in advance!

In Germany, we have 12 digits for a telephone number. And I want an error message to appear if, for example, only 7 digits have been typed in. So that the user knows, the phone number must be filled in completely. It should help us that we don't get incomplete phone numbers as lead. In addition, an error message should also appear if more than 12 digits have been filled in.

Is that possible that it gives out an error message and doesn't move to the next question?

How can I do that?

Hi @Cyko_ffm Thanks for stopping by the community! Thankfully, our phone field will automatically check this for you and let the respondent know if they haven’t entered the number correctly:

I am applying maximum number as 99999999999 to accept upto 11 digit number.
After applying, the max number changes to 999999999 (9 digit).
Is there a limitation to accept only upto 999999999 value in number field?

Hi @Jitendra I had another colleague test this with me, and we discovered that 15 is the limit if you don't toggle the Max number. If you do toggle the max number, then the limit is 9 digits (999999999 being the largest number).

Let me know if that doesn’t work!
