My VideoAsk behaves differently on my PC’s Wiindows web browser (Chorme) versus my iphone Chrome browser.

In both cases, the first video starts in autoplay (muted until I press the ‘Play’ button.

That’s good.

On my PC, all the next videos play automatically without having to press ‘Play’. That’s good.

However, in the iphone, every video only starts playing after you press ‘Play’.

How can I make the 2nd video (and the ones after it) play automatically, without the ‘Play’ button?

Tagging @Grace but I believe this isn’t a feature we offer at the moment. Letting her confirm that though!

Hey @Amos as far as I’m aware this is a limitation with VideoAsk on iPhone. Have you spoken to the support team about this yet? It might be worth reaching out in case they know of any workarounds 🙏

Thanks Liz and Grace. I’ll contact support to check for a workaround.

Thanks @Amos let us know if you uncover anything!

The VideoAsk support team response on 5 December 2024 was:

“Unfortunately, as of this time there is no workaround for this beside using Safari instead of Chrome as this is how Chrome is handling autoplays via mobile at the moment which we do not have control over.”

I will now try to contact Google’s support team and see if anything can be done from Chrome browser side to enable VideoAsk videos to start playing automatically on Chrome.

Ooh that’s good to know, thanks so much for sharing @Amos I’d be interested to hear if Google have any plans to update this.
