Pipedrive Mapping Questions

Two questions:

  1. I have a Pipedrive field (Event Date) that is not showing up during mapping. I have a Date of Event question in Typeform, but when I go to map it to Pipedrive fields, the Event Date field that is in Pipedrive isn’t showing up as an option.
    1. I have a field in Pipedrive called Inquiry Date, which is the date the Typeform is submitted. Is there a way for that to autofill based on the submission date, or would there need to be a question on my Typeform asking for today’s date? That seems like a silly question to have to ask, so I am hoping there is another option.

Hi @Sarah C Welcome to the community! Thanks for stopping by. We don’t have a way to pass the form submission date, so you would need to add a date field to the form to pass the date. Hopefully that helps clarify a bit, but let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for your response, Liz. Unfortunately that is a deal breaker for our ability to directly integrate Typeform with Pipedrive. Our Pipedrive process all begins with the submission date, and our follow up, etc. is driven from that date. Having people have to put in the date and possibly make an error (which happens frequently with an ‘event date’ question we ask) would begin a new lead on the wrong foot. I hope Typeform will consider adding an option to pass submission date data as part of the integration in a near future update. Until then, I guess we will have to keep using Zapier as a middle man.

Hi @Sarah C I totally understand that. I’ve reached out to the product team to see if this happens to be a feature they’ll be adding to the integration, and if I hear anything back, I’ll let you know!

Hi @Sarah C Our developers let me know the following about the date field:

  1. Right now, we aren’t supporting mappings for date fields or custom fields. This is something they could support in the future, but they’re currently working on updating some of their older integrations, which is contributing to the backlog.
  2. While they could support the sending the submission timestamp in the future, there isn’t currently a high enough demand to add it to their roadmap currently, I’m afraid.

I know this isn’t the best news, but hopefully it provides some clarity. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Vote for integrating date fields. This is crucial!

Wondering if there is an update to this, as this is also a dealbreaker for us…

Hi @ClaraD Sadly no update, but if you haven’t already given Zapier a try, I would recommend it!

Thanks @Liz - I’ve turned to N8N for now (like Zapier, but more powerful). Everything is working and mapping perfectly except for anything set up in Typeform as a yes/no answer which is melting my brain right now! Not sure if you have any tips for that based on Zapier use as I’m sure the answer is the same regardless of which go-between platform I’m using - that’s the one question type that I can’t get to transmit over!

Oh I’ve never heard of N8N! I’ll have to take a look at that. What’s the issue with the yes/no questions? Are they coming through as 1 or 2, @ClaraD ?

@Liz Yes! If I set up the receiving question in Pipedrive as a single select option and mark it with options ‘yes’ and ‘no’ or ‘true’ or ‘false’ then nothing happens. If I switch the receiving question in Pipedrive to a text, then I get a 1 or 2. Welcome any thoughts on this?

Ah ok, I think I’ve heard of this issue before. Do you mind sharing screenshots of how you have the information passing through in N8N? For example in Zapier, you can use their filter feature to essentially filter out data based on a specific value (for example, if you got a 1, you could then consider that a yes).
