How to pass a Typeform hidden field to a VideoAsk that is within the form?

I have a Typeform with VideoAsk questions within the form, for example: Questions 4 and 7 out of 10 questions are VideoAsks.

 

The Typeform has a participant_id as a hidden field that lets me identify who answered the form (need this for my application).

As you may know, VideoAsk responses are not embedded to the Typeform Response, instead they are saved to VideoAsk. Here is where I want to pass the participant_id so that in my VideoAsk account I can see the ID and identify which participant it came from.

It’s not yet possible to pass hidden fields from your typeform through to an embedded videoask, you can pass them across if you’re redirecting from a typeform to a videoask but right now it’s not possible with the embed.

We’re looking at ways to improve the integration between the two platforms so I have passed this on to our product team as a feature request and hopefully it will be possible in the future 🙏

It’s not yet possible to pass hidden fields from your typeform through to an embedded videoask, you can pass them across if you’re redirecting from a typeform to a videoask but right now it’s not possible with the embed.

Hi,

I’m, trying to do the same as the original poster.
Has there been any movement on this functionality? We’d love to be able to pass the participants hidden email variable from Typeform into our embedded VideoAsk so we can join up the results to the one participant.
