Partial submit point

Hi,

We added a partial submit point before ‘question 66’ (see screenshot).

As you can see in the logic (see screenshot as well), two routings come together at this question. The submit point itself is not visible in the logic.

Will the submit point capture all participants, coming from both Q52 and Q65?

Best,

Bert

Hi @Bert Happy Tuesday! I hope you’re having a good one so far.

The partial submit will only come through on Q65. When the partial submit point is added, it is associated with the field that appears above it in the field list. In this case, that is question 65.

Each partial submit is associated with one field reference, so you’ll need to add a partial submit point after Q52 too.

Hopefully this helps clarify!

Hi @Liz,

Thanks for clarifying but I can only add one submit point in my survey, so that’s not really a solution.

If I move it to Q66, does that mean that the data is saved when participants see Q66, or when they submit Q66?

Best,

Bert

@Bert - you might want to consider breaking the long form into several “logic” smaller forms and redirect upon completion of one to another. You can pass along a unique identifier as a hidden field to the subsequent forms so you can tie the responses together.

that might solve some of the problem..

just a thought

Thanks @john.desborough , makes sense but it’s too late for that now unfortunately.

@Liz can you come back to my question on when the partial submit exactly saves the data?

Hi @Bert Of course! If you keep the partial submit where it is now, the respondent just needs to see the question, not answer it, in order for the previous data to be captured.
