Hey,

I’m new to video guides and exploring different options. I really like Videoask, but I’m curious if it’s just for embedding videos on landing pages, or if there’s also an option to have a video pop-up? For example, when a user lands on a website, could there be a pop-up at the bottom of the screen that opens to show vertical videos with buttons to explore more?

Here’s an example of a website that integrates this kind of video pop up, for reference; https://www.getpliant.com/

Thank you!

Hi @albadaldi Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a good one.

Yes, this is an option with our embed! Our article here can walk you through how to embed the VideoAsk.

When you to choose to embed on a website, you’ll see the available widgets as shown below!

Hi,

You could do that by embedding the VideoAsk onto your page as an iframe and use some javascript  have the iframe pop up  (with the help of some clever hiding and showing delays you could have a implement a native javascript popup)

@albadaldi  VideoAsk offers quite a few different options by default as @Liz has indicated. This can be as a widget or embed. This is the easiest way to go for putting it on a website.

That being said, there is always the ability to further customise how it displays and interacts as @Harsh has indicated. But it does require a bit more technical knowhow to achieve.

I set up a VideoAsk up this year where you can have the VideoAsk display as a modal on the screen after clicking a button. You can view an example on this link, along with how it was set up. Hopefully this gives some inspiration as one example of what is possible if a particular setup is desired:

One other possibility that may be an easier implementation - though, it may depend on the website builder….

There may be a possibility to add an iframe via an embed element to a website builder’s pop up. If so, it could mean it is either triggered by a certain action or timeframe that a user is on a page that can be set.

Haven’t tried that before, but as long as there is the ability to add an embed element to the pop up, I imagine it would then in theory be possible and another way to do it. May be worth a try. Hope that helps!
