How to level up your automations with Typeform and Make (formerly Integromat)

Hello, beautiful people of the Typeform community! :hugging:

My name is Michaela, I’m a Typeform community member and Solutions Specialist at Integromat. I am part of a team that helps SaaS users find solutions to their common workflow problems. We look at the obstacles they encounter and the wishes that they have for the products they use to find ways how Integromat can uniquely help. We are great friends with the Typeform folks and that’s why @James gave us the amazing chance to come here and offer up some tips and inspiration for Typeform-Integromat automations.

Let me start by briefly introducing Integromat. It’s a no-code automation platform that’s here, really, to take your integrations to the next level. With Integromat’s visual builder, you can connect your Typeform forms to pretty much any other app, to any number of apps in one flow, and account for additional logic or requirements needed to truly automate your tasks with Typeform from start to finish.

With that in mind, we want to say hi and show you how Integromat can complement Typeform and help expand its possibilities. So we created this tutorial video that shows how to connect your Typeform account to Integromat and start exploring the countless possibilities.

To show you how to start building your first Integromat scenario, we chose to connect Typeform with Google Sheets to simply store Typeform submissions in a designated spreadsheet. Why would you want to do that, you ask? It gives you an easy way to:

  • collect customer feedback
  • list event (e.g. webinar) registrations
  • gather information about new hires before training
  • create a ‘suggestion box’ for your tea

With Integromat, you can build connections with an infinite number of steps. You can therefore continue expanding this scenario by connecting more apps to it. You can also manipulate the data you’re processing with an in-built system of filters and functions

We’ll be back soon with more of the fun tricks up our automation sleeve.

In the meantime, we are eager to learn what processes you automate or would like to! Let us know in the comments below :nerd:

Have you used Integromat at all, Des? I haven’t, I wonder if it’s easier to use than Zapier, which to be honest my mind can’t quite comprehend - I find the UX a bit complicated.

@Gabriel - i have played around a little and need to do more with it to test (same with Zapier) but most of my use cases are native integrations between Typeform and Google Sheets and Trello, with workflows built out in those tools. (am still a proponent of “KISS curmudgeon” principle and try not to have too many tools in the flows.

That being said, there is a place for tools like Integromat, etc. but i don’t yet have the burning need for them.

Thanks so much for sharing @Michaela :smile_cat:  really appreciate the info and the great explainer video. Bravo!

I'd also love to hear about the trials and tribulations folks are going through when it comes to setting up automations with Typeform so we can help them get their heads around it with the help of your app-wiring expertise :robot:

Hi @john.desborough!

Thanks for the thumbs-ups and the upvotes  :blush:

Typeform is an awesome product with awesome native integrations, there’s absolutely no debate about that :star:. Integromat can enter the game when you wish to take your integrations that one lil’ step further by connecting multiple apps and/or by manipulating your data in various ways. I hope I can show you some outside the box automations here in the future :relaxed: .

Anyhoozle, thanks a bunch for the feedback, it’s very much appreciated . I’ve been stalking you here in the community for some time so I’m well aware that you’re a real Typeform power-user and I love reading everything you have to say!

Hey @Gabriel

Thanks for bringing up the UX! Our users say that they really enjoy working with Integromat because of how visual it is. You kinda design workflows that reflect how you think and thanks to that, you get to see the logical flow of your processes and data :nerd: .

Also, since I have you here, I wanted to say how happy I am to be a part of this beautiful community. I love Typeform. All of us over here at Integromat do. Keep up the amazing work, you guys rock :sunny:
