Is it possible to make google ads for my typefrom without my own website?

Hi, I am new to typeform and I like to make this on google ads, but I don’t know if I need a my own website and embed typeform or this will work directly with just the typeform?

@Liz - you’re right.. you will need to have something that is ‘yours’ to anchor the ad - going straight to Typeform will not work (FB is worse about it but...)

Hi @Jeipei That’s a really great question. I’m not totally sure offhand, but I believe you do need to have a website you can verify with for Google Ads. (Don’t quote me on this!)

@john.desborough @Darnell do either of you happen to know? I’ve only ever run Google Ads maybe once/twice in my life, but I didn’t know what I was doing. 😂

Here is the Google Ad Policy that details “Destination requirements”:

https://support.google.com/adspolicy/answer/6368661?sjid=506239416984698204-SA#672

You don’t necessarily need your own website. You could run on someone else subdomain in some situations. This said, it won’t work with a Typeform subdomain because

1. “yourdomain.typeform.com/robots.txt” redirects to “www.typeform.com”, so the Google Ads robot will block the ads as there is a redirect and it can’t check the robots.txt file to verify that it can crawl your subdomain and analyze it.

2. you would also breach the “Insufficient original content” subpolicy

3. your page won’t have a “privacy policy”, which is required to run ads.

Hi @Jeipei We don’t currently at the moment since we don’t support Google Ads, but @jeremielp might have some additional help for you!

Yes, it is possible to create Google Ads for your Typeform even if you don't have your own website. While Google Ads typically require a destination URL, you can use the Typeform link as the landing page for your ad. When setting up your Google Ad campaign, choose the "Website visits" goal, and in the final step of creating the ad, input the URL of your Typeform.

Ensure that your Typeform is designed to capture the necessary information or engagement you are seeking from your audience. This can be in the form of surveys, lead generation forms, or any other interactive content.

Remember to comply with Google Ads policies and guidelines when creating your ad or take help with ai and make sure that your Typeform content aligns with the advertising policies to avoid any issues with ad approval.

Keep in mind that having a dedicated landing page or website is often recommended for a more comprehensive online presence and to track user behavior effectively, but it's not a strict requirement for running Google Ads.

@Jeipei - please take the advice from @rogeliokamryn  with a grain of salt: that answer comes from chatgpt and has fundamental flaws in the statements.
