Last week our good friend ​@ryancahill  hosted the Winter product release webinar (if you missed it, have no fear, you can watch back any time here!). 

 

A big thanks to everyone who was able to attend live. There were a lot of thoughtful questions being asked, so we thought it would be a great idea to highlight and answer some of them here in the Community for all to see 🚀

 

Contact & Automations

 

What integrations are available for Flows/Automations today to trigger outreach after a form is filled? - Kevin 

 

There are more than 120 integrations available to connect your forms to external tools. You can find them under integrations in your workspace. For more information you can also check our help center article here.

 

And, great news, Webhooks are now available in Automations so you can also connect to any tool that doesn’t have a native Typeform integration. More details on how it works here.


 

How does email Automation support unsubscribes? - Des

 

In order to help you with sending emails only to those contacts that want to receive them, every email includes an unsubscribe link in the footer. If your respondent unsubscribes the contact field will update to unsubscribed. When setting up an automation and sending emails, we avoid sending any emails to unsubscribed contacts. This is the case for new automations as well as running automations. 

 

Can we target “partial” submissions with automations? - Hussain 

 

Currently you can send messages (notifications) from responses (including partial responses) See our Help Center article for more info here.

 

In the future, we’ll be bringing these response messages and contact automations closer together.

 

I have been collecting applications from current customers for a program I manage within my organization. I want to use the Contacts feature in Typeform, but I am struggling with the “Name” field. How can Name capture both First and Last name from the form? I need first and last, but when I have only 1 name field in the form, the customer is not putting both first and last name. How can I use contacts with first and last name fields? - Shayna

 

We’re making updates to contact fields, to make it easier to create and map properties. In the meantime, we recommend splitting asking for a name into two questions so you can collect first name, last name and map those fields separately, or add in some instructions to the question stating that they will need to include both names when filling out the form.

Typeform AI is free to all customers! 🎉

 

Can we add files into the AI Memory i.e. drag and drop or do we need to cut and paste. If you add a file, what's the recommended maximum size of files we can add into the AI 'memory'? - Des

 

We’ve shared this feedback with the team for future consideration. Right now, we support copy and paste, with a limit of 2000 characters. And you can attach text files and spreadsheets to individual prompts. Check out the Help Center for more details.

 

In the first demo video, Pol uploaded a document with previously prepared questions. It happened so quickly, I was not able to get a good look at the doc. Do they need to be in a specific format for AI to be able to successfully process it that quickly? - Roxanne 

 

We support .pdf, .csv, .txt, .rtf, .md, and .html file types. We highly recommend setting the file with clear question and answer type pairs, as well as a clear description of the branching logic to get the best results.


 

Reporting and Insights

 

Is there a link to a training on how to use Typeform's reporting features backed by AI, I can reference later? - Mya

Is the Clarify with AI question type included in the analytics? - Des

 

Yes it is available for topic and sentiment analysis 😊

What will be the difference between the AI Inbound Sales Agent and a Chatbot? (More conversational vs predefined responses?) - Mya

 

Correct! It will be more adaptive to the responses as if you’re speaking with a real rep. Additionally, all of this information will automatically pass over to your CRM so there’s full context of the conversation.
