Using Variables in videoask embed from Paidmembership Pro (or alternatively Learndash)

I would like to use videoasks on members only pages but don’t want them to need to fill out the name and email fields. (Is there a way to do this?If not… is there a way with Learndash?)Thanks!

Embed not recording in Mac OS 15.2 Sequoia (Safari or Chrome)

Hi, We successfully test recorded our VideoAsk workflow in both PREVIEW and LIVE modes at https://app.videoask.com... works great there!But we seem to be having challenges getting our embed to work on our own website using either Chrome or Safari (latest builds of both) on Mac OS 15.2 Sequoia.The embed shows up OK, but fails when we try recording (below).We have the camera and microphone set to “allow” like in the screenshot, and both refreshed the page and restarted each browser, but still get the same errors: Safari:Please enable camera & microphone permissionsNotAllowedError - The request is not allowed by the user agent or the platform in the current context, possibly because the user denied permission.SAFARI - MAC - PERMISSION_DENIED_BROWSER_ERROR Chrome:Please enable camera & microphone permissionsNotAllowedError - Permission deniedCHROME - MAC - PERMISSION_DENIED_BROWSER_ERROR Thinking it’s likely an obvious setting, perhaps in Mac OS itself, that we missed? Any ideas ap

API access tokens

Hi everyone,We're having trouble right now with a development that relies on a data collection service.Using Production API CredentialsNow that we've built your app with VideoAsk, you can write the app itself using your own client_id and client_secret. Your app will need to generate an access token (and possibly a refresh token as well) to integrate with the VideoAsk APIs. This requires making authorization and authentication requests through your browser-based app.The first request, GET https://auth.videoask.com/authorize, confirms your client_id, prompts the user to grant the permissions your app requires, and returns a temporary authorization code.The second request, POST https://api.videoask.com/oauth/token, confirms your temporary authorization code and returns your access token. (this is not a problem)The https://api.videoask.com/authorize link in your app, including the parameters, the problem is that it needs human intervention, as far as I can see, but maybe I missed something

Playing the videos automatically without having to press 'Play'

My VideoAsk behaves differently on my PC’s Wiindows web browser (Chorme) versus my iphone Chrome browser.In both cases, the first video starts in autoplay (muted until I press the ‘Play’ button.That’s good. On my PC, all the next videos play automatically without having to press ‘Play’. That’s good.However, in the iphone, every video only starts playing after you press ‘Play’.How can I make the 2nd video (and the ones after it) play automatically, without the ‘Play’ button?

How to create and request a video testimonial from a customer?

I’m new to Video Ask. I’m interested in learning how to collect video testimonials from clients, by asking 3 questions.Can I just email a link to a client? Can the video include, say, 3 questions which will each produce a video clip that can be turned into one video automatically?I already use customer testimonials (or customer case studies) on my website – have most recently used Vocal Video but want to move to Video Ask, as I’m already using Typeform – see https://www.real-m.com/video-testimonials/I need to be able to get video testimonials on for my marketing consultancy clients as well, preferably with my clients’ branding, or perhaps unbranded.Many thanks.Christopher

Branding and Overlay text in API

I'm building out a process to speed up creation of forms (Videoasks). I've consulted the documentation at GetPostman but there are two things I'm having trouble with:Branding - In the Retrieve form by ID action, I can see in the response that there are nested parameters for branding, including branding_id . However, the POST action for new forms does not appear to accept branding_id as a parameter. Is there a way to specify the branding ID of a form (VideoAsk) with the API? Overlay text - In the Retrieve a question action, I am able to see a parameter called “label” which appears to correspond to the overlay text. However, the POST action to Create a question and the PATCH action to Update a question both do not appear to accept “label” as a parameter. Is it possible to specify the Overlay text via the API?

How to remove upload button from toolbar in video answer?

Hi, We are looking to use videoask at a fanzone for visitors to leave messages. We only want them to record a message via the touchscreen webcam and not be able to upload pre recorded files from the mini PC that we will be using. Can we remove the toolbar that appears to the top of the screen before record mode?

Embedding replies into wordpress/learndash pages.

I use learndash to run asynchronous global cohorts. I would like to use videoask as a way to:1. Checking in at the beginning of the course by introducing themselves via videoask.The videoask requests them to do a self introduction. I’d like every response to the videoask to show up on the page where the videoask is. 2 Answering questions/sharing comments.Throughout the course I’d like to ask a question via videoask for participants to reply to and be able to see/hear each other’s answers. I have tried using Zapier, but each time a new reply comes in, it over writes previous replies. How can I set this up?

Cannot call VideoAsk's URL variables to "redirect to URL" to feed Typeform's hidden variables

I am trying to use the "redirect to URL" ending to take users from VideoAsk to typeform. I need to be able to drag the hidden variables appended to the VideoASk URL to the TypeformURL, but those are not showing up as options in the Redirect to a URL dropdown. Is there a way to do this?

How to pass a Typeform hidden field to a VideoAsk that is within the form?

I have a Typeform with VideoAsk questions within the form, for example: Questions 4 and 7 out of 10 questions are VideoAsks. The Typeform has a participant_id as a hidden field that lets me identify who answered the form (need this for my application).As you may know, VideoAsk responses are not embedded to the Typeform Response, instead they are saved to VideoAsk. Here is where I want to pass the participant_id so that in my VideoAsk account I can see the ID and identify which participant it came from. Please help :(

Need to choose custom thumbnail for video

Has anyone been able to choose a custom thumbnail for videos? There’s no option to choose one and the thumbnail is random. If there’s an option to have a custom thumbnail this would increase performance a lot and be applicable to everyone on the platform.

Custom thumbnail/share image

Hi! Is there any way we can upload a custom thumbnail/share image? It looks weird that the thumbnail is a close-up shot of my face when I share links via social media/messages.I tried adding an image at the start of the video using Capcut and uploaded that video to Videoask, but thumbnails are randomly chosen and unfortunately, the image at the start of the video isn’t one of the options.

Limit response type on replies to replies

I've recently started using VideoAsk as part of the training within my educational membership. I create a videoask with a question and my members (students) reply with their own videos. This is working great.However, I would like to limit replies-to-replies to just text. So right now:I create the videoask with a question - 👍 Member responds with a video reply - 👍 I reply to the member with feedback - 👍 Member has the option to continue sending videos back to me - 👎I want to stop the back-and-forth video after step 3. So when a member gets a videoask reply from me, I want them to have the option to respond in text or not respond at all. Is that possible?

Troubles with logo size

I have a question regarding uploading the logo. No matter which format I choose from the recommended list, there’s always a blank margin around the logo, making it look small. Is this supposed to happen, or am I doing something wrong? I’d appreciate your thoughts and any solution you might suggest. I've already send the support team an email, but they forwarded me to the page with logo tips, which I already used.Please see the examples below (screenshots). I created each format from the list in Illustrator to test how it would look, but the white space remains with each format.

Eliminate "ANSWER" botton on the videoask

Hi, I am building my first videoask to put it on my website. I build it but in the mobile view it appears with the button "answer" and then the people need to click on it for selecting one of my option (in the first image i show you how it appears).I want it to show the options and not that button that redirects people in another window, in the second image I show you how i want it to look like and i want it that all happens on the same window.How can i do it?Thank you so much, Antonio. P.S. Which VideoAsk Plan is right for my agency?

Hello, thanks for any input.  I run a digital agency helping local home services businesses.  Essentially, I’d like to embed a welcome video on their website with 3 CTA buttons. The welcome video will be about 40 sec long. The 3 buttons will be Contact Us, Book an Appt, Learn More. The Learn More button will be a 1 min video with 2 CTAs - one button will be to another video 1 min long.  So, each customer will have a VideoAsk of a total of 4 mins of video total if the had a 4th video.  That’s it, per month, per customer.  All videos will be static with no more video consumption minutes needed.  I’d like to have about 50 customers total and a white label ability.  How many minutes requirement per year does this equate to for my agency needs?   2400m / year plan??

Video Pop Up

Hey,I’m new to video guides and exploring different options. I really like Videoask, but I’m curious if it’s just for embedding videos on landing pages, or if there’s also an option to have a video pop-up?
