Autofill o iPhone / Android

Hello, I created my first form and it looks amazing!

The form contain 3 fields: Name, Surname and Email.

I would like to make it easier for users on iOS or Android to fill it using Autofill function but in my case for both Name and Surname fields my iPhone suggest my “Name Surname”, not just name first and surname later.

I need Name and Surname separately because the integration with ActiveCampaign need the separate.

Any idea? Suggestion? Help?

Hi @Kezers Happy Wednesday! The autofill functionality is a browser setting, so while we don’t have much control over it, you could add two short text fields, one for the name, the other for the surname.

Hey @Liz thank you for your answer!

The problem is not about using one or two fields, the problem is that the autocomplete function from mobile doesn’t work properly.

This because the field is detected as “Name and Surname” instead just “Name”

Look here: https://share.cleanshot.com/YXpNtG

In fact as you can see the Safari on iOS detect it as “name and surname” instead just “name”: https://share.cleanshot.com/3kfyNS

Here more detailed informations about autocomplete function: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Attributes/autocomplete#values

What do you suggest to solve the issue?

Thanks, @Kezers ! I’m afraid we don’t have a specific solution for this since it’s very dependent on the browser. I’m happy to share this feedback with our product team.

Hey @Liz well If you don’t implement it (and I think this is very bad since Typeform is very used on mobile) at least ask developers to disable it setting autocomplete to "off"
