Can the chat feature link to a live chat option or does it do this internally?

Hi @scott got it! If you’re looking to do a live chat, we don’t have that option yet, but I’ve seen others use products such as Drift or Intercom:grin: With Intercom as well, we have a native integration so you could give respondents the option to chat live or fill out a typeform to setup a call. A bit more about that integration is here!

Also i have not seen a good example of what this looks like or if it can open expanded or not?

The chat option isn’t a live chat, but it takes the questions in your form and turns them into a chat feature so your respondents can have a more conversational approach to answering your form. 

As for open expanded, do you mind sharing a bit more what you’re looking to do? :grinning:

seems like a may be better off using live chat so i can do an actual chat when needed, or direct to a typeform or set up a call

Drift is INSANLEY expensive. So Live person. Quotes of 30k a year. Nuts. 

That's cool about Intercom. I was about to use Live Chat. Do you integrate that?

Ah! I didn’t realize they changed their pricing, @scott . :( Apologies for not realizing that! Wonder when they changed that. I used to have a free Drift widget on my personal website, but I switched it out for our VideoAsk product since I didn’t want to chat live with people ha! Though, Intercom can be a good solution! The setup steps for the integration is here!

I’ve also seen people add Facebook Messenger bots to their site, too. I haven’t tried that one personally, but I think you can add saved responses if you want to send something like a Typeform.

Hi all. After trying chatbot by live chat, we didnt like it and are using the TF bot. My questions are…

 

Is there a differernce between a type form and a chat bot? It seeems you can slect chat as a toggle option from a TF. So whats the diff? Also, when i start with a chatbot set up, i no longer see the toogle.

We need to upon ending send the client to a choice of multiple sites. Calendly is one if they choose that, another is an input of a phone number for a call back, and another would go to a diff type for mto collect more info. How can i arrange for multiple redirects based on the client input?
