default value for a short answer

Is is possible to add a help hint or a default value to a short answer?

 

I need to put @ sign IN front of every answer for a field.

Ah, got it. I’m afraid this isn’t a feature we have within our product, but you could setup a logic jump that would check to ensure the answer contains the @ symbol, and if it doesn’t, it would send the respondent backwards in the form. I made an example in this form below for you:

Hi @shaali Happy Tuesday! You can edit the messages that appear as the default in the messages settings, but this would update it on every question. 

The only close workaround I can think of would be to add a hint in the description of the question, something like this:

Thank You. That will not work as I need the @ sign to be the part of the answer.  The goal is to call out the person in the slack channel for that answer.  Hope it make sense.
