Help with setting up logic with limited attempts

Hi! I’ve been trying to set up a logic in my typeform, such that for multiple-choice questions:

1. Choosing an incorrect answer will lead to a hint page/slide, after which
2. A second incorrect attempt will lead to an explanation, before
3. Moving on to the next question in the form
4. Clicking on the correct answer takes you directly to the next page.

I am having no luck in setting this up; could somebody help please?

Hi @Hasnain Happy Wednesday - I hope you’re having a great week so far.

I’m afraid we don’t have a way for the form to keep track of how many times a respondent has provided an incorrect answer. You could use the setup here to show whether or not the answer is correct overall.

Hi @Liz, thank you for the reply! I have set up logic to allow for branching based on variables I’ve defined, but they are not working as I want them to. I have gone through the post about setting the most restrictive logic first, but it’s still not working. Is it possible for you to take a look? Or should I send screenshots here?

Hm, yes, send over some screenshots in this thread, @Hasnain !
