Hidden Questions in Survey

Can we populate a field as “hidden” when someone from our CRM clicks on the survey. Meaning…can we not ask them questions we already know the question to but have it populate. The best example is email, we are asking for their email in a question before they get the survey. So if we have that already, can that question be hidden?

Hi @The Insight Studio If you’re embedding the typeform on your site, you can adjust the URL in the embed to have hidden fields. This article here can walk you through setting this up, though you’ll need to create a way to pass that data into the Typeform, either through the URL on your site or through custom code.

Hi @The Insight Studio Welcome to the community! Yes, you can use hidden fields in the forms as long as you have a way to pass the information through, such as adding merge fields to the URL in an email. A good example of this can be found here

Is that close to what you’re looking for? 😀

Hi @Liz thanks for getting back to me on that one! Is there a way to do that without sending a URL? We have traffic coming to the typeform from our website, not through email. Thoughts?
