Question

How to stop people putting characters like '-' in every field to go through the form without answering?

Hi, I’m receiving dummy submissions of people who are clearly snooping to see what’s in the form, and they are just answering ‘-’ to every question.

How do I set it so they have to enter actual proper text for it to be a valid response, and stop people doing this unless they are a genuine user of the form?

Also, do you have an email checker like outlook, that verifies whether an email address is valid or a dummy one?

Hey @Beee1 welcome to the community 😊

Great questions, I wonder whether using spam prevention might help eliminate some of the bogus entries you’re getting?

At the moment we don’t have an email checker, but it’s already on our feature request board so I’ve added your comments and upvoted it. Hopefully it’s something that works it’s way onto the roadmap soon 🙏

Thank you! At the moment this spam feature isn’t available for free users, and we have just implemented this form and are in the process of assessing whether it is giving us enough value to move to a paid subscription.

I think anything spam and cybersecurity related should be available to free users. Afterall, if people are getting high levels of spam on their free account, they are probably not going to want to pay for the subscription and will find something else.

An email checker would be fantastic and would definitely help user experience.

Thanks so much for the feedback @Beee1 I will pass it onto our Pricing team for review, I think it’s a paid feature because the free plan has a 10 response limit, but I can see that if you’re trying to test usage it would be helpful to have.
