Hi,

Is it possible for a user that has clicked on a specific link in our webiste to open the Typeform with a pre-populated data field?

Scenario:

  1. We have a Typeform where we have a “X” field with 3 options:
    1. becoming A
    2. becoming B
    3. becoming C
  2. A user navigates our website and those options are 3 different links in the website that opens the Typeform.
  3. Question: Can this user have the “X” field pre-poluated based on the option where it clicks on the website?

Thank you,

Marketing Team

Hi @Marketing Team thanks for joining the community! :)

If you add hidden fields to the form, you can edit the “xxxxx” part of the hidden field and replace it with the data you want to pass in.

For example, if you add the hidden field and your URL looks like this:

www.hellothere.typeform.com/to/sdhasd?hiddenfield=xxxxx

you’ll replace the x’s with whatever data you’d like to add in such as:

www.hellothere.typeform.com/to/sdhasd?hiddenfield=data1here

You’ll want to update each of the three links with the data you’d like to pass and add it to your site.

Hopefully this helps! We also have a step-by-step article here to help, too. :)
