Logic built out from Ranked Choice Response

I’m trying to build logic into a survey where a user gets an additional detail question if they rank a particular answer in the top 3 of a ranking question.

Is this possible? Doesn’t seem like it is at this point unless I am missing something.

@RForbes_Remai - use a multiple select multiple choice question and set the number of required responses to up to 3

then you can use the logic rules to route to additional questions.

just a thought

Hey @RForbes_Remai great question!

@john.desborough have you ever tried to set up something like this? 🤔

@Grace @RForbes_Remai - can’t throw logic rules against choices in a ranking question:

if you try to do so you get something like this in he Workflow - Branching

@john.desborough @Grace It would be great to see this feature in the future.

Maybe you can help figure out the best way to tackle this.

The question was, “How do you like to receive information from the museum?”. If they ranked Social Media in the top three, we want to know more about which types/platforms. But if not, we don’t want to bother someone that doesn’t use social with an irrelevant question.

Is there a way to do this through some other means?

Yes, it is possible, but it depends on the survey platform you’re using. Most standard survey tools do not currently support logic based on the ranking position of an answer (e.g., "show question if Option A is ranked in top 3").

Yes, it’s possible, but it depends on the survey platform you’re using. Most standard survey tools don’t currently allow logic that triggers based on the ranking position of a response (for example, “show this question if Option A is ranked in the top three”.
