Logic jump not working

Hi,

Can anybody help me figure out what I’m doing wrong? I’m not getting my logic jump to work. What I want:

  • If the answer to Q4 = A, jump to Q6
  • Otherwise, continue to Q5

See screenshot for logic. And the quiz is online here.

Context:

  • This is a free account
  • Q5 is not required
  • If I tell Q4 to Always jump to somewhere else (say Q9), it doesn’t work either.
  • I’m using both variables in this quiz for other questions (not Q4 or Q5)
  • I’m using scoring in this quiz (also for Q4 and Q5)

Is there some kind of central setting that I’m missing? Or is my logic incorrect?

Thanks!

Best,

Ruud

Hi @Ruud Verstraeten Thanks for stopping by the community and sharing all of this - the photo and the link as well as the breakdown was really helpful.

When I tested the form, the logic jumps are working for me:

I think the confusion might be the numbers themselves. On the live version of the form, if a question is skipped over, it will still go in numerical order. In my test above, the correct question, labeled #6 in the builder, is showing, but it’s labeled as #5 on the live version so as not to confuse the respondent.

Hopefully that helps clarify!

Hi @Liz

Oh wow, haha. I did overlook that 🙈. Thanks for your sharp eye

No problem, @Ruud Verstraeten ! It confused me for a bit when I first started building typeforms, so it’s an easy thing to miss!
