Question

logic not working, rules not saving

I’m experiencing an issue with my survey where calculation rules are not saving. I’ve set up a score-based quiz, where I need to assign point values to responses in order to calculate a total score. However, every time I try to add the calculation rule (using either the "Score" option or manually inputting a number), the rule doesn’t save.

The “Jump to” rules seem to be working fine, but the calculation rules are consistently disappearing after I save and exit. I’ve tried:

  • Clearing my browser cache and using an incognito window.
  • Testing on different devices and browsers.
  • Recreating the form with fewer questions to simplify the process.

Despite these efforts, the rules I am putting in are not saving and thus the calculation functionality is not working.

Can someone please help.

Thanks

@lmurph - if you wanted to create a short video showing what you are seeing in your form and share it here in the Community, it would help us troubleshoot

cheers

Same issue here - massively disruptive and cant SAVE any conditional logic changes.

@LozCol - there could be a number of issues why this is happening - including the number of rules you are trying to create and save. I have noticed that some times, due to high volume of traffic in the interwebs, that the network latency between my location in Canada and the Typeform servers causes a time out …

  1. you can always check the status.typeform.com site to see if there are any issues with the product
  2. check the number of questions/logic rules you are creating - i have found that if you have 50+ questions on your form it appears to slow down saving any logic rules. also if you have over 200 logic rules in your form you will notice a slowdown - typically due to the way that typeforms parse and sort the logic rules on when you save them - ie calculations get moved “up” in the logic list and ‘go to’ statements get shifted to the bottom.

if these are not the issues for your form, please record a video of the situation and attach it to the post so we can troubleshoot

you can also raise a support ticket with Typeform Support using this link, if you have not done so yet
