matrix with only one answer by row

I would like to create a matrix but be sure that people only give one answer by column

Only one candidate may have a 5

@Liz - no workaround that i have been able to create using the matrix question. you might be able to do something with a rating question series and logic that says ok, you 5 points for the first person in the list, now on the next question, who gets 4? you logic rules would have to say ‘you have chosen that person or already assigned them points’ if they chose the same person - if you duplicated the question.

you could create a series of paths to follow ie if you choose person D to assign 5 points, then following that structure, you would have a series of branches: if they choose A for 4 points then they have questions coming for b,c and e. etc…

Hi @Sabinevandebroek Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend.

We don’t have a way to ensure that someone can only select a ‘5’ once, neither with logic or within the question itself.

I’m racking my brain for workarounds, but maybe I need another coffee. 😂 @john.desborough do you happen to have any offhand?

I was looking for a similar functionality where we have a 1-10 scale where only 1x a 10 may be selected to get a prioirity list.

Hi @marryduijv Thanks for stopping by! While we don’t have this feature, I’d definitely suggest utilizing some of the workarounds mentioned above.
