Multiple choice without auto-advancing

Hello,

I have a Multiple choice question in which I want users to be able to select a range between 1 and 5 selections. However, when I test and select any one option, it auto-advances to the next question. How do I get it to stay with the current question (use case: I want to select 2, 3 or 4 other selections) instead of auto-advancing?

Hi @Chief_LaurenM Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. We don’t have an option to stop the auto-advancing, but if you have multiple selection turned on, it shouldn’t advance to the next question until the respondent clicks the ‘ok’ button.

If it is, do you mind sending the link to the form so I can test it? 😀

Hello @Chief_LaurenM! How was your weekend? Don't forget to send us the link to your form so we can test it on our end. Let us know if you have any other questions, we'd be happy to help! 😉

Hi @maripaz thanks for checking in on this feature request!

The Product team has been doing research and user testing on this feature, and discovered that it contributes to higher completion rates on forms, and many users weren’t happy with the behaviour when it was switched off. We’re looking at alternative ways to mitigate any accessibility issues at the moment, so I can add any feedback you have to the feature request 😊

Oh I see! Thank you for your answer and the explanation, I appreciate it.

I think disabling auto-advancing won’t work for everyone. In our case, we work with older adults who have impairments, so it would be great if we could just choose whether to use it or not in the settings.

I hope that makes sense!

Makes total sense @maripaz thank you for sharing the additional context, I will pass it onto the Product team 🙏
