I see @john.desborough has addressed this multiple times over the years, tagging @Liz, and I appreciate that. I was unable to dig up the proper comment on the sticky product dev suggestions post to add my support.
Seems this has been requested many times over the years - I find myself needing to have theatre patrons select top 5 from a list of 12 productions, then rank those five 1-5. Having them rank a list of 12 productions seems cumbersome.
If anyone has suggestions on a workable solution for this need, I would appreciate it very much. Until then, my support is behind populating rank-able answer choices from previous questions.

@Liz @kapeesh - nope, no handy guides… without the ability to prepopulate a question with either the answers or variables, as the ‘selection labels’ this won’t really work
now i don’t know if you could do this with a webhook and the API to create the form on the fly.. not something that is in my technical wheelhouse…

Unless you try to map all the combinations of 5 in a list of 12, and if I remember maths correctly, that would be 792 possibilities 😅
I would say one way to ease the process is to have the most like 5 favorite shows listed among the first 5 of the 12, making it easier for the user.
They would arrange the top 5 and leave the rest alone.
Additionally, when analyzing the responses, you can verify that the top 5 in the ranking choices match the 5 selected earlier. Unfortunately, you can do that test while people answer the form.
