Hi,

I want to use Number type in a form and collect exactly 10 digits.

I tried to set min=10 and max=10 and that did not work.

How shall I do it?

Hi @tojo Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a great week so far!

Unfortunately, there isn’t an exact solution where we can get a respondent to put in exactly 10 characters.

An option to help with getting the correct amount characters could be to have a follow-up Yes/No question. It can ask them to confirm that the number they entered is correct. You can use Recall Information to reference the answer and they could use select Yes to confirm and move on or select No to be redirected back to the previous question, so they can correct their answer.

Would that help at all? :grinning:

Hi, thanks for your reply. No thats get too complicated and not user friendly. The best way is to allow min and max to have the same value, then it is solved.

@tojo - the min and max are the numeric values that are allowed ie with min =2 and max =10 the user cannot enter 1 or 11

it doesn’t deal with string length

@john.desborough OK, I understand. It would have been great to check for example VAT# that is have to be a fixed number of characters.
