Does anyone know how to represent numeric variables as whole numbers (no decimals) when presenting them in a Statement?

Hi @John.C.Woolston,

Hope you’re doing well.

For the numeric variables, how will the numbers be inputted for the variables? Will they be calculated based on answers from a respondent? Or will the numbers in the variable be a set default value?

Are you then wanting to pipe the numeric variables in a Statement? If yes, you can use recall information to pipe the variable to your Statement by typing the @ symbol in the text and selecting the variable.

Hi there,

I was trying to pipe the numeric variables, which are the results of calculations of different answers, directly into a Statement, but I always got decimals when I needed whole numbers. Currently, Typeform does not allow you to specify whether to use decimals, and it cannot handle rounding of numbers for presentation in the form flow.

I have had to dismiss this approach and send them to a webpage populated via Zapier, where I remove the decimals and round the numbers.

This has exposed a significant limitation in Typeform's capabilities, and had I known this earlier, I would have chosen a different tool.

Hi @John.C.Woolston,

Ah yes, currently Typeform doesn’t have a feature to specify to use decimals or not and doesn’t round numbers from calculations. I can for sure pass your feedback along to our Product team as a feature request.

Happy to hear that you were able to find a workaround to remove the decimals!

I’m curious to learn about the calculations you’ve set up in the form. If you can, would you mind sharing how you’ve set up your calculations? Are you calculating a percentage of points to answers?
