Output Form Info to PDF

I am looking to build a simple form with about 6-8 “pages”, that will output to a PDF.  I’d like the PDF to either get emailed to a specific address, or saved off to a network location.  Is something like that possible?

@Lloyd6770 - welcome to the community

you can also connect your form to google sheets, create a merge template in google docs or slides and then using an add-on called Document Studio you can set up to merge the data into the template, convert to pdf and send in the email you create (merge fields are available in the email as well) with the pdf attachment

there are a number of posts in the community where this has been covered, just search for document studio and you should find some.

Hi @Lloyd6770 Happy Friday! :sunglasses: We’ve got a few threads that cover this, depending on what you’d like to include in the PDF and how you’d like to send the PDF. The thread below is a good one to start with:

Hopefully this helps get the wheels churnin’!

Hi @Lloyd6770 ,

Sharing another option which maybe useful as well...

You could use a zenphi flow to generate a pdf using a Google Docs, Google Slides, or HTML template. You could also configure the flow use a different template based on a typeform control submission value. (ex. if US use template A, else if Europe use template B, etc.)

You can then email the exported document, send it for approval, save it Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.

You can find a simple tutorial here:

Walkthrough here:

 https://zenphi.com/export-typeform-to-a-pdf-document/

Hope this helps.

[PS: I work for zenphi. just sharing the reply, hoping it will help the community.]

Hi together,

thank you for the posted solutions so far. I like using Typeform but that there is no easy to use solution to export answers into PDF’s really annoys me. I have many use cases for customers where I implement this, but it’s just way too many steps for a rather simple task. Also all the Zapier etc. automation tools are great but just too expensive and in-depth for this (imo!)

Since we had enough and others seem to have the same pain we decided to create an easy to use integration tool for this. Baseline use should be free, more extensive then paid. Tool should only focus on this task. Possibly also the following automation of sending, downloading etc.

To understand and implement your feedback we’d love to hear from you. If you are interested we’d appreciate a sign up to our “waitlist”: https://palladion1.editorx.io/typeport

This helps us determine if efforts of building would at least reach a feasible number of users.

I know this can turn into advertising for our own benefit, but I’d really appreciate an easy solution for this task, since it started bothering me a lot.

All the best!

Hi @Palladion Thanks for stopping by! Do you mind sharing a video about your integration so community members have a better idea of what you’ve built? That will help us provide feedback. Thanks!

That’s definitely doable now thanks to typeflow.us

Connect any template (with variable) to your Typeform. It will generate a PDF seamlessly!
