Why are some question types not available to use in branch logic? For example I would like to ask for a phone number but the response is not required. I want to be able to skip some questions based on the response of the phone number question. The phone number is not available as an option make a rule around.

Hi @Zaps Thanks for stopping by the community. I’m not exactly sure why we don’t allow logic for the phone field, but I’ve asked the product team. I’ll post here once I receive a reply back.

Thanks @Liz

Hi @Zaps Our product team let me know that they haven’t had a use-case yet for using logic on the phone field. Do you mind sharing more about yours? Happy to pass it along to them!

@Liz Happily! I am using typeform to funnel information into a video. The phone number is not a required field so I would like to bypass questions based on if the there is a response. A question that comes after phone number is if there is an extension for the number. I would like to use logic to surface those questions depending on the response. This would help simplify how many questions I ask since multiple questions can’t appear on screen at once.

Thanks, @Zaps ! I shared it with the product team. :grinning:

Hi @Zaps The product team let me know that setting up logics to check for a question that has been answered/not answered is on their radar for features to update! No timeframe yet, but just wanted to drop that news for you. :grinning:

Hello! I need a logic jump on the phone number too!

In my typeform I ask for a phone number, then I ask if you want to receive SMS marketing. If you leave blank the phone number and ask to receive SMS marketing, I want to warning about the fact you didn’t typed the phone number.

Any news about this?
