phone number format to include dashes

I had the same need — users enter phone numbers in all kinds of formats (with spaces, dots, brackets, or none at all). To keep everything consistent, I connected my form/CRM to Zapier + numverify:

1. Numverify validates the number and detects the country.
2. Zapier then reformats it into the style I want (e.g., 303-555-1212).
3. The clean version is saved back into the system automatically.

This way you don’t have to force users to type dashes, and your database still stays neat.
