Quantity in addition to photo multiple choice?

Is there a way in Typeform for multiple choice question that uses photos for each option to be able to input a quantity for each one you choose? Meaning, we have photos of different items in one of our forms, and people can select as many as they want. However, they may need different quantities of each of the items they select, and they have no way to tell us at this point. We want it to work almost like a shopping cart, but the issue is that this isn’t an actual shopping experience, and there is no money involved. Does anyone know a workaround?

Thanks!

Ah yes - I received your DM! I’ll continue to respond here in case anyone else has a similar issue, too. :)

What might help is in the question that asks for the requested quantities, you could use the recall feature within the question to recall the answer they previously provided. Then, the respondent would know that you’re asking specifically for the quantity of the single product they selected in the previous question instead of just a long list of all products/quantities.

Would that help a bit?

Hi @Joslyn welcome to the community! Could you use a picture choice question and then have a question (such as a short text) afterwards that then asks for the quantity?

Thanks for replying, @Liz . That’s actually how we have it now, but it has limitations. If we have a question with 20 options, and the person selects 7 of them, they often forget to itemize on the next question the individual quanities they wanted for each of the 7 different items. Instead, they often just say things like, “25 of each please” instead of being specific with what they may actually need. Saying 12 of the brochure and 68 of the stickers etc etc. is too cumbersome.

I wish there was a way to select the item and then immediately type the qty next to each item for multiple choice and multiple selection items.

Hi @Joslyn Do you mind sharing a link to your form? I’m happy to take a look and see if there are any suggestions I can make to make the form easier for your clients.

Yes, can I send you the link in a Direct Message rather than a public setting? I’d be happy to share it with you for feedback, but generally speaking we don’t want people filling it out who aren’t a part of our company.

Thank you for your responses!

I have never used the recall feature, but I will give it a try. Thanks for the idea!
