Responses to word is it possible ?


Hi all i am just checking before i have to do this manually for the rest of my life.

 

So I need to get the answers from my responses to integrate into a separate different word document is this actually possible to do by simply pressing some sync button or using another app then converting that to word after it has been generated or is it only possible to do this manually. ? Any help most appreciated my hands are not made for hard labour ?

@DrankFrames @Gabi Amaral - you could do the following to get this to work though it does mean ‘converting’ or downloading a google doc to a Word format by using Google Sheets, Docs and an add-on called Document Studio 

  • connect the typeform to google sheets
  • create a google doc that is a template - have the static text you want to appear and then put in the ‘placeholders’ where you want the answers to display 
    • using Document Studio, you use {{ }} around the names of the columns in the spreadsheet to display the data ie {{firstname}} would display the content of the firstname field
  • Using Document Studio you identify the ‘workflow you want - ie create merged document from the records as they arrive, using a template and then storing the output as a file (i tend to use PDF but you can leave it as a google doc) and then have the document emailed to you as an attachment by Document Studio
  • you could then save the file as a google doc or as a Word file

I'm not sure I understood what you're trying to do. Can you give us more details?

We also have an integration with Google Docs. Since you're talking about a word document, this might help you. Maybe you can connect with google docs, and then you can upload your doc as a word document. Not sure if this what you're trying to do though.
