Allow Respondents To Automatically download a e-book

For VideoAsk, how can I have a e-book automatically download after collecting email addresses?

You would need to host the ebook somewhere, but so long as you can generate a link and that hosting option has a download option, then this is the best and easiest way I would suggest this. You could use something like Google Drive to upload it to then generate a link from.

Hoping this helps!

Hey @MyDogPebbles, good question and use case for your VideoAsk.

I would suggest having a button for the call to action option. You can then set a URL link to the online resource (this is located under the Logic tab > then Advanced Logic. If you then set the contact form for collecting email and any other fields you may want for this step, this should allow you to achieve that result.

If you have any further questions at all, please just let me know!

Thank you it does. We do that for client newsletter. I thought maybe there was something built into TypeForm or VideoAsk - thanks for your help!

There is not a specific option that I am currently aware of with VideoAsk or Typeform where the file is hosted on their side. Best practice is probably using the redirect option outlined. OR a simple automation could also be set up (through something like make.com) to follow on from the VideoAsk that emails them the e-book as an attachment or link with some personalised text perhaps?

Hey @MyDogPebbles I would second @Ash.NZ’s suggestion! It’s not possible to host an ebook inside VideoAsk/Typeform but you can definitely redirect to one after you’ve collected the email address.

Let us know if you have more questions 😊
