I’m new to Video Ask. I’m interested in learning how to collect video testimonials from clients, by asking 3 questions.

Can I just email a link to a client? Can the video include, say, 3 questions which will each produce a video clip that can be turned into one video automatically?

I already use customer testimonials (or customer case studies) on my website – have most recently used Vocal Video but want to move to Video Ask, as I’m already using Typeform – see https://www.real-m.com/video-testimonials/

I need to be able to get video testimonials on for my marketing consultancy clients as well, preferably with my clients’ branding, or perhaps unbranded.

Many thanks.

Christopher

Hey @ChristopherRealMarketing60 welcome to the community and to VideoAsk!

You can certainly share the videoask link via an email, you can also do a partial embed in an email where it will play a gif of the video to encourage people to open it.

It’s not possible to stitch responses together, so if you have 3 steps to your videoask, the 3 responses will drop into your inbox as separate videos. You’d need to download them and stitch them together yourself. You can set up an integration with Zapier to send the videos to GDrive or Dropbox

You might be interested in watching this episode of Hack Together that @picsoung hosted a while back, where they built out a work flow for stitching video responses together:

Once you have the testimonial video response, you can either download it to edit, upload it to your preferred platform (I see you’re using YouTube currently) or you can share and embed a videoask response without having to download it. We have this Help Center article that talks through how it works.

At the moment, it’s not possible to add branding to a response, you can only add branding to the videoask that you create.

Hopefully that all helps, but let me know if you have more questions!

Also, just in case you didn’t know, we’re currently building video questions and video answers in Typeform too, so that might be something to consider in the future if you’re wanting to streamline your products 😊
