Is there a way to limit how much text people can input as a response?

Hi all,

I’m working on building a VideoAsk to build brand profiles for our clients. One of our questions asks for the brand to be described in 3-5 key words, but some clients can’t help themselves and will post multiple paragraphs explaining their whole brand story (which we don’t need and is a pain to filter through). Is there a way that we can add a text limit, either specific characters, or limiting it to a ‘short answer’ like you can currently do within typeform?

Thanks.

Hey @Tim S

At the moment there isn’t a way to set a word count limit to the text option, I have added this to our Feature Request board as a potential update though.

My only thought was if it would work to switch to asking for a short video or audio description instead, as you can adjust the time limit so they aren’t able to leave a long description and refer to the transcription if needed.

Not sure if that’d work in this case, let me know what you think!
